Kevin Smith said his house was barely saved.
He said the fire was really close when he evacuated.

Re: What have you watched lately?

10 Things I Hate About You . This is fucking Shakespeare. No, really, as I'm sure you already know. I've seen it before, and it's excellent. Definitely the best Shakespeare adaptation in a modern high school ever made. (Is there any competition.?) Great acting all around, and a kick ass soundtrack,...

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

I'm really enjoying Skeleton Crew. The kids are kind of annoying, especially that blue prick, but it's a lot of fun.
Jude Law is always great.

Re: Merry Christmas, you bunch of god damned jerks.

I genuinely like TFA. Love it? No, but I do like it. TLJ is where it went off the rails. It's so bad, it's offensive. Rian Johnson disrespected so much of what came before. TRoS was a mess, but it was a valiant attempt at damage control. Wrapping it up after what Johnson did was an impossible task.

Re: Merry Christmas, you bunch of god damned jerks.

I've had Covid twice now and never lost my taste, thankfully.

I briefly thought i did once because I considered watching The Last Jedi on tv, but I came to my senses.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

NyX 6 - I only bought it because Kiden was in it (and on the variant cover I got). The art sucked and the story was a pain to follow. Nice to see some OG NYX back. I missed their only appearance outside of the 2 minis in an X23 onee-shot that goes for like $30-40 for some reason. Star Wars: The Batt...

I'm digging it, but if I were 7-12 years old, this would be fucking amazing.

Kahhori from What If...? Season 2, made her first appearance in comics this week.
Of Marvel decides to do anything more with her, it could be a future hidden gem.

Greg Hildebrandt, 85.
On Halloween.

He and his brother will live forever just from their classic Star Wars poster, Luke with his lightsaber in the air and Leia next to him.
Their Marvel Masterworks trading card set was amazing also.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

I loved Gotham City: Year One. A good, hard-boiled noir tale.
It reminds me of the Hard Case Crime novels I read.
I would love to read more in this world.

I'm not sure how it fits in to Bat-continuity though.
