The art of Greg Land

Post by Eternal Padawan »

Have you seen this guy's stuff? I get a tentpole looking at his women. He did a book at the now bankrupt Crossgen publisher ( Sojourn, I think?) and did the rounds as a cover artist.

Then last year he did Phoenix: Endsong and this year he did a run on Ultimate Fantastic Four and officially making Ultimate Sue Storm the hottest woman in comics.

Boner inducing artwork people.

Did he do the Emma Frost covers? If so..... I'd have to agree.

<s>Yes. i believe he did, jj.</s> Now that i think about it, that was Greg Horn, who also fosters appendage raising with his art. Not only his Emma Frost covers, but the Elektra series also. The best thing about the run was the covers by different artists.

EDP, that is old after only two different forums. Get a life. Or get bent. i don't care which.

EP - I found a couple of Greg Land covers, on Spectacular Spider-Man (vol 2) 25&26. Very nice, I'm looking for 23&24 to finish off that arc.

Y'know, I bumped this for no good reason, and, a few hours later, read an article that he was taking over art on Uncanny X-Men.

And then I looked at forums that I don't post on, and there were a huge number of people not happy with that. Everyone seemed happy with Matt Fraction writing. I guess they'd rather not have nearly photorealistic artwork if some of it might be traced, but want every book to have the same quality stories that we see on Punisher War Journal.
