I couldn't think of anything to submit for that one dammit, then the guy that won it (he took the top 5 spots and inspired several others on the list) started submitting his entries and I stopped even thinking about it. An interesting phenomenon is the downright Flornbi submissions that each contest inspires. Each time out you can guarantee that there'll be at least a dozen bafflingly awful submissions that miss the point SO hard that they are hilarious- what makes it even funnier is there's a companion thread for discussion of the submissions as they come in and some folks are HARSH in their criticisms (tho honestly it is wittily delivered and usually well earned)

yeah, there's speculation that the article you linked has inspired some folks to actually shoot for the next version of that list, which kinda takes the fun out of it. Some of the entrants to the turkey contest were just plain fucked
