There's a slideshow in the article where you can see an awful lot of the concepts. I hate to say it, but I'm unimpressed. This reminds me of when Topps got the rights to some other late-in-life Kirby concepts, put out comics (including covers using his concept art, inked by the Image founders--even Liefeld had to work hard to fuck that up), and they were all dead on arrival anyway.
The guy was a god, no argument, and was a brilliant artist until the end. And, judging by the concepts, he still was into shit that would've made Stan Lee have to dig out an encyclopedia (before claiming full credit and ripping off Jack--just saying, guy was a great writer, but a dick when it came to business... now he's lost the "good writer" part).
The only one I could see really being successful would be the 2012 Mayan concept, just because of all the 2012 hype. The others, eh, they don't appear to be his best work.
Then again, I'm sure all sorts of A-listers would give both their nuts to write the debut of unseen Kirby characters.
