Not sure if anyone else has jumped on this or not, but you can now link Marvel & comixology accounts with one easy step - all my marvel downloads (from the free codes in the books, I'm not buying them) instantly showed up in my comixology by simply entering one password.

This is the link, minus the completed part...

https://www.comixology.com/marvel-sync-completed

Also, i would have no problem with you knobs logging into my comixology & reading my e-books - just message me for the codes, I'm not putting them up in the public forum. :bats:

For whomever was asking why the Hulk needs to wear armor, Mark Waid explained its so that Banner isn't nekked when he changes back.
I don't know why that's an issue all of the sudden after five flippin' decades but whatevs. Did physics change in the Marvel Universe? Pants stretch and shrink as needed. I can see how one might have an issue with the 'realism' of that but it's already been established(in a fictitious world where mutants, Gods, and radioactive spider bites exist mind you) that his pants won't rip off when he changes. That jenga block is pretty low in the pile for you to be tugging on it, know what I mean?

"if he grows really big his pants would totally shred to pieces!"
"ohmigod you're right! You know what else? If you're exposed to massive amounts of gamma radiation YOU DIE!! Write yourself out of THAT corner!"

So... Bruce wears armor? And Hulk has no issue with wearing armor?

Those two points make no fucking sense.

As I suspected, Amazing Spidey ends with issue 700. That makes me sad. But at least it will be easy to keep track of the "legacy" number.
Wolverine is ending. No big whoop. It's issue 317, but really it's only on like issue 37 of the new series. Which is like his seventh ongoing.
And 'Cap and' is getting canned. Undoubtedly due to low sales. Sad only because it was using Caps original legacy numbering. But really that was Tales of Suspense to start with, so it was a sham from the beginning.

The second wave of NOW! books isn't really pushing my buttons.

Cable and X-Force. Cable, Domino, Forge, Colossus, and Dr. Nemesis as outlaw mutants on the run from the Uncanny Avengers. Dear god, what did they do to Dr. Nemesis?!? That new costume looks AWFUL.

Uncanny X-Force. On the plus side, Remender is no longer pissing on this. On the other hand, Psylocke, Spiral, Puck, and Storm as a team of assasins? Storm?!?! Seriously? And who picked Puck?

Thunderbolts. I think we're all on the same page about Punisher being on a team with Deadpool, Venom, and Elektra led by Red Hulk is insultingly stupid. Exactly how many secret death squad team books does Marvel need? But incredibly it's not the WORST idea of these second wave of NOW books. That honor goes to...

Avengers Arena. Marvel decided to rip off Battle Royal and/or jump on the Hunger Games bandwagon by taking all the teen heroes they've created in the past decade or so--and KILLING THEM ALL OFF in a Snuff Porn book. Ugh. I'm utterly disgusted by this book. I seriously want to punch somebody at Marvel. Every time someone at a convention asked about The Runaways or Avengers Academy kids and Marvel said "Hey we've got something line up with them in it!" I doubt fans were thinking it'd be a book where all their fave new characters were gristle for a hatchet book. And the shitty cherry on top of the dirty diaper sundae? Arcade is the villain. Oye. I HATE Arcade. :frus:
Im praying this book gets canceled after the second issue.

Truthfully, this second slate of books makes me want to rethink getting onboard with even LESS of the first wave. And torpedoing Amazing Spidey doesn't help either.

WTF? So two of their ongoings are series that, by definition, have to have an end point?

And, really, Avengers Arena boggles my mind. Aside from the ridiculously stupid concept, you mean to tell me Darkhawk is trapped on an island by Arcade? Darkhawk? I know his popularity has waned, but that is one powerful motherfucker there. "Hey, Darkhawk, you're trapped on an island with all these other young heroes, despite the fact that you're definitely an adult by now since, hey, you were a fucking adult in the 1990s, and you have to kill them to survive!" "Fuck you. I'm flying the fuck off this island, using my high-speed flight to get the fucking Avengers, and we'll be back to fuck you up in about three hours. Oh, and I'm going to take out half your pussy island by myself on the way out because I fucking feel like it."

Remember that issue of Punisher War Journal(the Fraction series) where Frank goes into the bar where they're having a wake for Stilt-Man and kills like 30 super villains and then burned down the bar? And then a couple months later, Dan Slott had an issue of She-Hulk where he humorously retconned the entire thing by showing a bunch of the villains in the hospital with minor contusions and first degree burns. Ha ha. I love Dan Slott.
But anyway, that's what I keep thinking about to make myself feel better about Arena. In a couple months all the victims will show up alive and well elsewhere with no mention of what happened.

really, i'm surprised by how much i don't care about any of this... even renumbering ASM. i mean, been there, done that.

but it's more than that. every issue of my most recent subscription to both ASM and USM are still in the mailer bag! mainly because i'm behind on reading and there's a gap in there on both that i need to fill in, but still... i think i might be starting a "how i realized i was over comics (almost) completely..." (almost, because: atomic robo).

I'm not going to get any Marvel Now relaunches, I've decided. Also going to start going through the boxes and getting some lumps of newer stuff together to sell, I just don't have the affinity for it & the proceeds could help me fill in some gaps in older runs I'd like to have.

I'm slightly tempted to check out Thunderbolts just because of the Punisher out of a morbid curiosity, despite the retardedness.
The rest looks even more lackluster, except maybe the original X-Men one (mayebe).

That was the premise that most interested me too, but I'm just too past caring.

This is really not good.

You guys represent a microcosm of what's left of comic book buyers, and are dropping Marvel and DC like birds drop turds.

Even reading the Bat titles the last few weeks has been making me reconsider those too.

truth. though, i'd say it was the price increase that did me in a while ago, not the recent decision to add the word "new" or "now" to the covers.

The new Savage Wolverine ongoing by Frank Cho.
Apparently Frank had a leftover 'Indiana Jones meets Chthulu' script laying around. Which is almost exactly like Wolverine! Swap out Indy for Logan, add Shanna the She-Devil in place of Marion Ravenwood and you've got a Miniseries Ongoing!

The House of Ideas indeed.
Easy pass for me.
