Re: Football
Holy carp the Bills beat the Bears.
I'm in 4 fantasy leagues this year. Two are at work. I'm the comissioner of both of those. One is a 12 team league for money and the other is a 4 team league mostly for experimentation (I'm going to use it to mess with keeper league settings for the pay league).
My third team is in my friend's league who has crazy rules.
The last is from a Buffalo message board I go to. This one has 20 teams. Somehow, the draft for that league only took an hour. Last year it was only 16 teams.

Re: Football
It was awesome when the Bills won. Now both Chicago and Green Bay are down a game.

Re: Football
Losing to the Bills is awesome.
EJ Manuel actually looked confident at times, especially in the first half. Who knows what the Bills can do this year, maybe they're alright (ok, I know what they can LIKELY do - go 4-1 to start the year & miss the playoffs - but I digress). Apparently the Toronto group will NOT be the winning bidder for the team - this from the Toronto media as of this morning.

Want a guarantee the Lions will suck this year?
I drafted Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford in my fantasy league.

Our league did a Snake draft and I was tenth out of 11 teams.Diabolical wrote:Want a guarantee the Lions will suck this year?

So I picked tenth and 13th and then had to wait a fucking interminably long time to pick again and everybody I wanted was gone by then. I'm pretty sure Megatron went third overall. However, i grabbed Golden Tate and my thinking behind that was this; if every team is gonna be double and even triple covering Calvin, then Stafford will being going to the other WR on the field. And that's Tate.

Re: Football
I had Calvin Johnson last year (drafted him #3 overall). This year I picked him #8 overall and managed to get Dez Bryant in the 2nd round. Bryant already shit the bed for me this weekend.

Re: Football
I let the comp auto pick for me for the first couple of rounds & wound up with Aaron Rogers & Eddie Lacy from Green Bay. I sat Aaron Rogers in favor of my backup, Jay Cutler, & wound up 11 points ahead. Eddie Lacy generated a total of 3 points for me, and the back I had on the bench (Fred Jackson from Buffalo) would have netted me 10. The Packers suck every nut they can get their mouths on. All that being said, I'm still up 3 points going into tonight - opponent has a receiver with a projected value of 8 points, so I'm hoping Jay Feeley can come up with at least couple of PATS to keep me above water for the win.
Oh, and I have Ray Rice as well - I guess I'm going to have to take care of that little issue as soon as the rosters get unlocked after tonight's game. Rashad Mendenhall, you have a call on line one.

Re: Football
Last week I traded Dez Bryant and Steven Jackson for Jamaal Charles and Vincent Jackson. My other WRs are Calvin Johnson and Kelvin Benjamin, so it was easy to gamble on Charles with Brant. Charles scored more points for me in just one quarter of the MNF game than he scored in 3 games for the guy I got him from. Megatron didn't do much again this week, but it didn't matter because of Charles and Rivers.
Its funny that I got Rivers in the 10th round of our draft. In the past 2 weeks, he has scored about the same as Manning and Rodgers, who went in the 1st and 3rd rounds.

The Bills owed something to the Lions for letting them use their stadium. Somehow, the Packers are now 0-6 when playing in Buffalo.

Re: Football
John Fox will be the next coach of the Chicago Bears. I didn't think there was any chance they'd get that lucky after firing Trestman - as a matter of fact I thought I'd be facepalming after Rex Ryan's comments for the next 2 seasons. Thankfully it will be Ran & friends doing that, no I.
Oh, and Seattle should hopefully open a SERIOUS can vs GB tomorrow. I'm going to watch just in hopes of seeing Cam Chancellor get a clear run at the gimped up Aaron Rodgers (because if he puts Rodgers in the hospital there's some minor chance someone will need a 2nd string boner for the next 6 weeks - and I'm suited up & ready to play, coach).

Re: Football
My Fantasy draft was on Sunday night.
Russel Wilson at QB. Brady as my backup
Marshawn Lynch at RB. Arian Foster as my 2nd when he heals up.
Jimmy Grahm at TE. As you can see I heavily favored Seattle.
Joique Bell for my Flex. He did well for me there last year so I grabbed him again.
Sammy Watkins at WR. Last year I had three fantastic WRs and no RBs. This year I favored the RBs and there wasn't much to choose from by the 4th round for WRs. We will see if that bites me in the ass.
Gostkowski at K. Also Hauschka just so nobody else can score with him.
Rams for the Defense. I got a good feeling about them this year.
