Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
Infamous Iron Man 6
Rogers Cap 15
Uncanny Avengers 22 (done)
Black Widow 12 (sadly, done - I wonder what's up next for Waid/Samney)
Thanos 5
OM Logan 20
SW 30
Inhumans Prime (done)
X-Men Prime (done, but Guggenheim on X-Men is pretty cool looking)
ResurrXion Spotlight freebie
The chatter at my LCS was that Marvel told everyone Secret Empire was going to be the end of the Mega Crossovers for a bit. I'm guessing they can't keep this threat/promise.

Seems to me they've been doubling down on crossover events. Weren't the Spidey Clone thing, IvX, and Monsters Unleashed all happening towards the end of Civil War 2?

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
Yeah, it's way too much. Way way.
Store B had a few things for me:
Spider-Woman 17 (done)
Avengers 6 (done)
Avengers 5.1 (limited series, done)
And I used my whack of credit to get Fables vol 1 & 2, the complete Loeb/Sale Batman trade set (3 books) and the OGN Spider-Man hardcover from a few years ago. I also agreed in principal to sell the rest of my gorgeous Uncanny run from 95-101 and a few silver age books for $700 - I have them all in Masterworks format & I need money for the bathroom renovation. Hopefully the other co-owner sees it as a moneymaker for the store - it 100 percent is.

He's not a superhero? Because his girlfriend was killed?
"Oh, sorry, kid. Your girlfriend died, so I'll work harder to get out of your mind. Should take me five minutes now that I'm properly motivated."

Yeah, I sincerely doubt Robinson has ever read a single issue of Sleepwalker. He probably just asked his editor which obscure 90s characters he could use, and then read the first paragraph on his wiki and made up the rest. Asshat.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
How did that get past editorial?
Bruce Banner can't decide to not be Hulk.
Danny Ketch can't decide to not be (the best) Ghost Rider.
And Rick Sheridan can't decide to not be Sleepwalker.
Stupid.

Store C had something of interest that I wasn't aware was coming out: Rose #1 from Image. Yes, that Rose - as in Rose & Thorn from Bone. Not sure if it's limited or unlimited, Jeff Smith is not involved.
DISREGARD THIS. NOT BONE UNIVERSE RELATED.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
Worked my way thru the first half of the 'D's over the last couple weeks.
Daredevil 14-18. Finished off the Muse story arc, which got pretty dark. DD's sidekick had his eyes gouged out by the serial killer villain and now she's blind. The next two issues were pretty stupid. Even though he specifically told Blindspot to NOT go into the tunnels after Muse, and Blindspot deliberately defied him, and got blinded because of it, Matt is so wracked with guilt, he secretly hires Bullseye to assassinate him. What the fuckity what??! The last couple issues are about how Matt put his secret identity back in the box. It involves the Purple Man and his purple kids.
Deadpool 23-29. The end of the Madcap revenge arc. The finale of the Deadpool 2099 story that was cleverly being interspersed with each arc of the ongoing. Then a couple of one off adventures involving Valentines Day and Capt America. Finally the DP/ DP and Spidey/ DP Mercs for Money mini crossover event where Wade's wife takes over Manhattan and ends in their divorce.
Deadpool:Mercs for Money 6-10. Domino takes over the team. Then a confusing two part tie in to IvsX. I didn't read the main event series, so I couldn't give a shit what was going on. Finally, the aforementioned Death do us Part crossover.
Deadpool Back in Black 4,5. The end of the 80s centric "retconned" series where Wade got the symbiote after Peter got rid of it, but before Eddie got it and became Venom.
Deadpool Too Soon 2-4. The end of the Agatha Christie-ish murder mystery where DP and Squirrel Girl have to figure out who killed Forbush Man, Ant-Man, Rocket, Groot, etc. Turns out it was some demon trying to impress Wade's wife. Everything gets set right in the end.
Deadpool the Duck 1-5. Trying to save Rocket Racoon from space rabies, a teleporter malfunction fuses Deadpool in Howard's body with Howard being the second voice in Wade's head. Turns out Roxxon was behind it all. Also, Dr. Bong.
Deadpool vs Punisher 1. Only one issue so far. Frank targets a drug cartel money launderer who happens to be Wade's personal tax guy. The tax Guy's family gets blown up and Wade blames Frank.

I didn't know Deadpool Too Soon costarred SG. Was it any good? If so, I'll have to look for it.
And was the Death Do Us Part crossover even advertised? All of a sudden, boom, I've got part whatever in the main series.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
Too Soon had a bunch of Marvel's "humorous" characters in it. But honestly, it wasn't all that funny. And you would think an art collaborations between Reilly Brown and Tod Nuack would be pretty sweet, but it wasn't.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
I purchased the last 2 Marvel OGNs I thought I wanted from Amazon for good prices - the Avengers: Endless Wartime showed up looking like someone had used it as a car floormat for the last 2 years. I haven't read it, or Mike Carey's X-Men story yet. Spider-Man, Ultron & Starlin's Thanos trilogy have all been good, but certainly not mandatory reading.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
I haven't bought any of them because they're all hardcovers and wouldn't fit in my collection. If they ever decide to do softcover trades, I might jump on them. Also, I'm not sure how many they've done at this point. 10? 15?

2 Avengers, 3 Thanos, 1 X-Men, 1 Spidey, then there are 2 I've never seen in real life and don't want anyhow: Squirrel Girl & Deadpool.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
Finished up the D list.
Deathstroke 7-17. I'm loving what (Chris) Priest is doing in this book. Slade has a very dysfunctional family, and this book is a family drama with his ex-wife, his ex-superhero son, and his illegitimate ex-mercenary/superhero daughter all co-starring in it with him. Priest pulls lots of things from Slade's rich history. It's fantastic. This is the Deathstroke book I've wanted for years.
Dr. Strange. 15-19. Awww, Aaron and Bachalo are leaving after next issue?? Bummer. Any word on who's taking over? Or are they cancelling and relaunching it? I also think Kevin Nowlan's covers are a bit underwhelming.
Dr Strange/Punisher:Magic Bullets 1-4. Except I seemed to have missed issue 3. This feels like it was a digital first series that got collected. John Barber wrote it, so,it wasn't bad. I don't care for that quasi-anime looking art style, though. The story was fairly mundane. Some guy teams up with mafiosos and summons a demon monster to attack NCY. Frank gets Strange's help to stop it.
Next up is E thru G. Which consists of an issue or two of Elektra, no F's whatsoever and then a bunch of GIJoes, Guardians, and Gwenpool.
