All my display shelves are full. I rotate stuff out occasionally.

You gotta buy them when they come out, or pay after market prices later.

The Jurassic Park:Brachiosaurus Discovery set was on clearance at WM, so I grabbed one. The original price of $80 was way too high considering it’s just the dino, a tree, and the Jeep(512 piece count). $60 is also a little too high in my opinion, but that scene is, to me, the quintessential JP moment of any film. Spielberg teases the reveal perfectly. It’s cool to have that scene in Lego.

Came home from work to find a package on the back porch(luckily no porch bandits had made off with it). Brought it inside, having no clue what it was. My wife casually told me I could open it, so I did.

Lego Bumblebee! Awww yisss.
She had it pre-ordered and shipped almost before I even knew it existed!

The X-Men jet set has barely 350 elements in it. $85?? Get the fuck outta here. Even with the licensing Jack up fee, that’s exorbitant for a set that small. That’s 25 cents per brick.

pulled the trigger on the new UCS-ish Milano the day it dropped. first day-1 purchase in as long as i can remember. as much as the same-scale Benetar was cool, my thought was "why isn't it the Milano???" when it came out. popped a 6-pack of the Space minifigures in the cart to get the freebie "Micro Rocket Launchpad" set. i don't care what anyone says, this is not microscale. it's a Space Baby Amusement Park.

I’m not into Ninjago, but WM had a $130 Dragons Rising set in the clearance aisle for $60 because the box was dented. So I grabbed it.

Preordered Harbormaster’s Office and Camping set from the bricklink series 3 that went live today. Should arrive in March 2025.

The bricklink design program Series 6 is open for voting.

That Lunar Base set is looking super sweet. Hope it’s one of the finalists.

I'm not too familiar on how this design thing works, but I found the set you are talking about. That is a perfect modernization of the 80s space Legos.

It’s like FOUR Classic Space sets. Any one of those builds would be a cool set on its own.

Bricklink is a buy/sell/trade market. They’ve partnered with Lego to make sets for the past couple years. You can make a free account and vote on the sets (no, yes, Hell Yes!!) and they pick five every round. Then those five get crowd funded basically.
If you preorder a set, it takes you directly to the Lego.com website. I’m not sure if you can get to those sets directly at Lego without linking from bricklink. I’ve never tried.

Yes. I still need the Avengers Tower also.

And the Jaws set.
And the Dungeons and Dragons set.
And the Medieval Village set.
And the Tower of Barad Dur set.
And some recent new Space sets.

The next Modular set is dropping in a month also. It’s a Residential Townhouse.

Legos are fucking expensive.

i just pulled the trigger on Avengers Tower, and added The Hoopty from The Marvels in for good measure now that it's the price it should've been ($63 instead of $90) since it's 2xVIP points (ending tonight). with this purchase, i will have $170 in VIP points rewards that can go towards one of the modular buildings i need to catch up on.

Started Christmas shopping. Ordered the Lego Polaroid (for my daughter majoring in photography) and the Animal Crossing Town Center/Plaza (for my wife) to get the "Books Are My Passion" which is a fairly accurate Lego version of my other daughter. This purchase puts me up to 4000 points.

Oh, and do you know how I know I'm getting old? I'm really starting to have a hard time putting the stickers on Lego sets. My wife bought me the white Lamborghini while she was at Target the other day. It's my first from the sports car series. It took longer than I expected to put it together. Pretty cool, but the stickers were a pain in the ass.
