This is a full list numbered in order. From 82 onwards the single issue number relate to the Transformers ongoing series [or IDW Transformers 2009 has listed on site] ending with #125 Death of Optimus Prime issue. But there are some issue missing because it would take it over the 125 total. Infiltration #0 which would go between 9/10. Then New Avengers Transformers #1-4 that goes between 29/30.

I did find this helpful chronological cheatsheet in the comicbookdb forums.
"Say Jim! Whoo! That is a bad outfit! Whoooo!" -- Pimp, Superman The Movie
"You're an idiot, Starscream." -- Megatron, Transformers:The Movie

Re: Transformers!
Here's something bizarre: I was poking around on CBR, and it seems that "Heart of Darkness" is widely regarded as one of the worst Transformers comics ever.
Uh, did I read a completely different comic? I recall it being pretty frigging awesome. And the first arc of the previous ongoing ("For All Mankind" was the title of the paperback) is the worst Transformers comic of all time. I can certainly think of a lot of TF comics worse than Heart of Darkness.

I generally find 98% of other forums to be full of buffoonery. What didn't they like about it? I thought it was epic and the art was amazing.

Re: Transformers!
Most folks said the writing was awful and the artwork was too detailed for TF. (Guess they don't know Wildman?)
I thought the panel of the various Galvatrons (and related characters), including Mr. Spock, the toy, and the G1 Galvatron as drawn by Wildman was worth the cost of the paperback all by itself. That panel gave me a super nerd boner.

Damn, Rollo, you weren't kidding about MTMTE and your comparisons to Giffen/DeMatteis' Justice League. That book is fucking amazing, and I laughed quite a few times while reading it.

Re: Transformers!
Man, some of the funniest stuff was just because it was so obscure and random references to the minutest of things. In the original floppie first issue, the writer said he was very inspired by Arrested Development and that's basically the tone he wanted. Arrested Development meets Transformers.
In the more recent issues he does 'serious' quite well also.
Unrelated, but that doucher that writes 'The Buy Pile' was talking about a recent issue of RID where they intro SkyByte into this Universe. And he knew nothing about the character so he assumed it was an overhaul of the Sharkticons from the movie. That guy's a twat.

Re: Transformers!
Christ, I didn't follow RiD (the bad show, not the comic) and knew who Sky-Byte was.
I realized when there were some allusions in MTMTE to Drift that I hadn't read it. I have it, but it came out around the time I stopped reading, and I think it was one I just didn't cancel the pre-order on and didn't read. Read it last night, and it was much, much better than I expected.

Re: Transformers!
BTW, how the hell does Hannibal Tabu (and I will fuck a dog on live TV if that's his real name) understand any comic? I was bored and looked through a few consecutive columns. He makes various "piles" based on solicitations, and occasionally something will "jump from the Read Pile," apparently meaning he didn't pre-order it but decided to get it when he saw it in store.
Problem is, if you look at any given title over a few months, it will jump between all the various piles. I'm guessing he actually does read them and this is a theoretical "what I would get if I were on a budget" exercise. Only, uh, if a title is "meh" one month, "buy" the next, "no, just no" the third, and "read" the fourth, that doesn't seem to really hold much weight to me. No one buys comics like that. You follow books you like, you drop ones you don't. You don't drop a book and, three months later, say, "that cover is cool; I'll buy this one issue."

Re: Transformers!
I think he reads digital advance copies provided by the publishers.
But yeah, he's more fickle about what's "good" and what's crap than a drunk sorority girl at a shoe sale getting fucked by the football team. Plus, he has an irrational love of Daniel Way's Deadpool.
Back to Transformers, I keep forgetting to ask my Comic Guy to order a copy of "Autocracy". It's a TPB of a digital only series that came out earlier in the year. So this is the first time it's actually been on paper. It's set back at the beginning of the War.

*grumblegrumblerazzumfrazzum#%&$dingdongsunuva--*
My comic guy got shorted on his Transformers:ReGen 81 issues and only got two copies in. And since that other dipwad needs All the different covers he got both copies that came in and I have to wait until next week(or longer) to get mine. And I probably won't get to pick the cover I wanted(Megatron) because he can't order specific covers. It's all random.
So fuck you IDW for multiple covers. Fuck you Diamond for your reordering bullshit. And fuck you guy who needs all the covers. Its douches like you that perpetuate that multi cover mentality.
Also, he got ZERO copies of the 100 Page issue. I would've bought that even at the $7.99 price tag. That'll be a bitch to run down later on. There was probably only like 4,000 print run.

Re: Transformers!
I'm surprised the multiple cover bullshit is still a thing. That seems more transparent a money grab than any of the 1990s gimmick covers (which, as I recall, also invented some sort of weird cover gimmick with X-Men #1, which people complained about and artificially blew its numbers through the stratosphere).

Re: Transformers!
IDW is the only publisher that does 50/50 covers on a consistent monthly basis on ALL it's books. (At least, on all the books I get.)
Marvel and DC do chase variant covers but its like 1:10 or 1:50 or 1:100 ratios. And I'm not interested in plunking down $30 for the "privilege" of having a rare cover.
Bob Harras is the ass that came up with multiple covers back in the 90s. Asshole.

Bob Harras is the asshole.
Those five words sum up everything that's wrong with comics.

Re: Transformers!
Rollo, you were wrong.
More Than Meets the Eye is not the best-written comic in current production.
That would be ReGeneration One.
Jesus tapdancing Christ, more happens in 1.5 issues of that book than entire runs of Bendis books. The fate of Earth is definitely bleaker than in G2 (now an alternate reality? I'm confused, since the sorta flashback in 80.5 featured Jhiaxxus, but maybe it fits since Jhiaxxus would've already existed for millions of years and possibly been a "Cybertronian" even if he's still unknown to the mainstream TF's), but it makes more sense. I'm concerned with who, if anyone, is left. Spike (I've heard rumors he's this Circuit Smasher character)? Circuit Breaker? Thunderpunch? Donnie Finkelberg? The Roadjammers?
Unicron alive? Unicron. Alive. Wow.
Loved the way all the characters who haven't ever been featured in US comics were sprinkled in.
Pretty fucking awesome how Berko showed up. Nice to see he finally made good, as the dude in charge of the Cosmic Carnival. Furman wasn't kidding when he said he wanted to tie up every loose end.

Re: Transformers!
You bastard. You know I have to wait at least a week to read it.
Is this payback because I read the floppies every week and you have wait six months for the Trades? It is, isn't it!
