How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

i, on the other hand, couldn't wait until i bought TLJ, but had to. i watched half of it the day i got it, but haven't been able to get back to it.

saw an article regarding viewing order now with the new additions. still think machete order (except i opt to include TPM) for the first six, then release order from then on out, so basically ANH, ESB, TPM, AotC, RotS, RotJ, TFA, R1, TLJ, SOLO

Reason: adding in RotJ

I hate the machete order, or any order that puts the PT before the OT.

I still haven't watched TLJ since it came out on Blu-ray. Trailer Park Boys has been more important.
When I do watch it, I want to take notes on the things that I actually liked, and make a list of reasons I hate Rian Johnson.

I bought two copies.

I preordered from Target since the distribution on their exclusives has been shitty lately, and I wanted to make sure I got it. But it didn't ship until the day after release, so I grabbed one in the store. I actually just returned the second a few minutes ago.

I had to look up "machete order". I understand the logic, but would never take the time to rewatch all the movies in that particular order.

HA, damn, forgot it after the interstitial PT.

it's not before the OT - just before RotJ! i like the fact that it maintains the vader reveal, then tells the backstory of how that happened, and then the redemption. however, i will say that machete order is really the recommended "first timer" order, then after that, whatever floats your boat - chronological, release order, whatever. just enjoy what you enjoy, man!

I'm onto Rebels (again).

In some ways, Rebels seems superficially inferior to Clone Wars. But it has a marked advantage in that it tells a straightforward continuous narrative about a small group, all of which begin as blank slates. It also definitely matures over the course of the series, and isn't afraid to kill off characters.

Also Billy Dee Williams as Lando, since the damn sequels won't do it.

Yeah, what’s up with that?

probably because they were like "well, we have to kill off any OT character we include, and four deaths doesn't fit into a trilogy, so... Episode X it is, Lando!"

Glover looks like he’s gonna kill it as Lando.
Move over K-2SO, we got another scene stealing droid.

That's the best looking SW trailer since Disney took over, maybe even since ROTJ.

What's Mallato? Google didn't help me on this one.
