Critics seem to hate it.

Oddly, almost all the critics who give negative reviews seem to still be under the misimpression that the Turtles were created for toddlers, and that (despite a loyal following over a decade ago, all of whom would at least be older teens now) there are currently no fans over the age of five.

And they berate the violence of it, saying it's too much for kids, and that's bad because they think the movie exists solely to re-invigorate a ten year old franchise and sell toys. (I guess they've not looked at the Saturday morning lineup in the past four or five years.)

Well, fucking duh. You read the original? It's "Fuck you, Turtles!" "Fuck you, Shredder!" "Blow me, Turtles!" "Oh yeah? I just cut your fucking head off. How you like them apples, bitch?"

The few who realize this is an actual comic, and with more older fans than newer, seem to "get" it.

I was down on this movie, but then I saw that they'd made it for kids - so I kind of perked up. I might wind up taking the young'uns this weekend, but I might have to read up a bit first if they're saying the violence is too much.

Well.

HOLY.

GOD!

DAMN!

THIS MOVIE FUCKING ROCKED!!

Finally, a great TMNT movie!

The fight scene between Leonardo and "Nightwatcher" (;)) in the rain was worth the price of admission alone. This needs a fucking Best Animated Picture Oscar.

And Karai is the current top of my "animated characters I'd do" list.

I am going to try and go sometime this week. A mix up at work left us down a man, and I'm trying to fill in as best I can.

Shut the fuck up, Rob.

Why is it that all sorts of movies that came out after TMNT (after it was gone from most theaters, even) have official release dates for the DVD, and there's not so much as a rumor for the TMNT DVD?

Please, prove me wrong if you can. I'm sick of searching.

Big "kid" movies like that are usually held back until November, so they can have huge Christmas numbers.

March 23 to August 7 is too long?
It's only 4 1/2 months, pretty average these days.

Movies that came out in theaters after TMNT are already on DVD.

Admittedly, they're suckass movies, but still....
