the dirtiest rest-stop bathroom on the information superhighway... I want FUN,SEX,FOOD,CIGARETTES, COFFEE, MORE SEX, STAR WARS TOYS AND LAUGHTER! http://asylum.vynsane.com/
This movie comes out in like three months and I haven't seen one teaser or trailer.
I'm not by nature impatient, but whuthephuqman.
Is that a bad sign? I hope not. Because I want this movie to kick ass.

I read a while back that this is the second time around, after the "reset" at the end of DT7.
Which means that they can not only go in a different direction, they can keep it from becoming Stephen King wacking himself off in the last few installments.

If they're not faithful to the first 3 books, what's the point?

Yeah, the movies are the 'sequel' to the books. Which I love.
But I wanna see Shardik and Blaine the Mono and all the other crazy shit from MidWorld. Not just Roland running around in NYC.
Or, like Mssr. Reason said, what's the point.

To end it in a way that doesn't suck gallons of ass?

But don't you want them to end the original awesome story? I guess that was more my point - take what was good & run with that.

Well, if it's a sequel, they kinda are.
However, while I don't usually object to race-swapping, this means Odetta hated that honky Idris Elba....

It would be too risky to double race swap for that.

She comes from a world where whites were enslaved in the US until the 1860s, and had to march for equal rights a century later?
I'm listening....
But, yeah, intriguing as that would be, it would in no fucking way ever happen in a major American film.

The reviews are starting to come out and they aren't good.
Not surprising, the flick looks like shit.
