Here's a good one: I was looking up stats on swine flu, to see if it's possible to get straight facts without all the media hype about it. (It is. Just not on TV.) I found a news site that had an article, and right underneath, there's a Twitter feed. I don't mean in the comments section, I mean between the article and the "Related Articles" section.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this sound like another example of some misguided news organization trying to be "hip" by pretending Twitter is a legitimate news source, and undermining their own credibility in the process? Am I going to soon have to sort through "i am sick, dell gave me swine flu lol swear to god" and "i told him wash his hands, i don't want swine flu" (actual "news" posts there, with the name changed to protect the severely retarded) to find legitimate news in the future because legitimate news sources think they have to jump on this bandwagon of stupidity?
