Reason, I DID give BC some cash...first for his book which I've never read, but was required to be purchased BEFORE I could give him ADDITIONAL money to get my Evil Dead 8x10 signed. Then when I finally got up to him, the interaction was notable as being very douche-like for multiple reasons I won't bother to type.

Ugh - autographs can ruin your opinion. Alan Trammel was a pompous ass to me after I basically worshipped his spikes for 15 years as a kid. Awful.

Anyhoo. Josh, I'm out for this weekend sadly. I just got home from 10 days away & the wife has plans that will prevent me from taking the car down to the Con. I wish you some sweet luck in finding shit I would have wanted. :(

Damn.
Looks like it'll be a mini-Mabucon of one, as Adam is also not going.

Oh well, more stuff for me!

Looking at the guest list and I've gathered a few things to possibly get autographed.

Kelly Hu - X-Men 2 Blu-Ray disc
Brian OHalloran - Clerks DVD
John Ostrander - Star Wars Legacy #2 (or maybe an issue of Republic)
Kevin Eastman - Free Comic Book Day TMNT #1 (or the new #1 they have an exclusive cover of at Fanfare)
Tim Bradstreet - Marvel Knights The Punisher #1
Adam Baldwin - Firefly: The Official Companion Volume 1 (page 94 about Jayne)

I'm sure I won't anywhere close to all of them, especially Baldwin ($), but I'd like to get something signed and maybe a pic.

And I see Katie Cook is there too. She does a bunch of cool cartoony Star Wars stuff.
And some chump named Larry Hama (or was that Lanny Hama?)

Larry Hama also wrote the most classic era of the first Wolverine ongoing, if you want to get autographs.

Just sayin'.

And, post-No Man's Land, one of the shittiest Batman runs prior to Morrison abusing the characters in ways that editorial should've fired him over.

Fanfare was a mixed bag. It was great because I got a bunch of deals; bad because I expected more. It was a good size, but nowhere near as big as I expected, especially since it was held in Cobo Hall, a pretty big place.

I skipped out on the celeb autographs. I guess I'm just too cheap. The creator autographs were free, so that was cool.

I did get Tim Bradstreet on MK Punisher #1 and John Ostrander on Star Wars Legacy #1. I would have waited for Kevin Eastman, but the line was ridiculously long all day. And I missed Tony Moore (The Walking Dead) because he had certain times he was signing.

I got 2 mini-paintings (Artoo and Punisher) by Katie Cook. I love her simple, cartoony style.

My haul:

$5 Trades:
The Boys Volume 1 - I never did read the first arc. I started with issue #7.
Wolverine Origin - Always curious but never wanted to spend $15.
Batman: A Death in the Family - A long time want, but its been out of print forever. This is a first edition of the trade also, from 1988 (a $3.95 original cover price too). A little beat up, but that doesn't matter to be.

$.50 books:
Batman #450, 451, 460, 461 - With those great Breyfogle Joker and Catwoman covers
X-Men/Teen Titans One-shot

A handful of Punisher stuff, mosty of it $.50 each:
The 'Nam #52 & 53 - Featuring The Punisher
Classic Punisher - reprints of Marvel Preview Presents #12 and Marvel Super Action #1 with a (then) new story, "Kites."
Daredevil and The Punisher: Child's Play - I didn't realize it was just a reprint of DD #182-184, but whatever, it was $.50.
The Punisher: Ghosts of Innocents #2 - Didn't realize it was part 2, but again, it was $.50.
The Punisher: Bloodlines
The Punisher: Back to School Special #1 - Ah, the 90s.
The Punisher: Bloody Valentine One-shot
The Punisher: Holiday Special #1
The Punisher/Painkiller Jane #1 - Only because it was by Ennis
The Punisher: Summer Special #1 and 2

Nice Punisher haul. It's always fun to find stuff for 50 cents.

These are the two mini-paintings by Katie Cook that I got at Fanfare.
I love her Star Wars stuff and I thought a Punisher would be bizarrely awesome in her style.
