Would it mean that McFarlane owes him half the profits from every printing of that issue? That would be sweet.

Friedrich conceived of the flaming head Ghost Rider, and along with Artist Mike Ploog crafted his first appearances.
He unsuccessfully tried suing them after the first movie came out.
He's been setting up at Cons announcing himself as "Ghost Rider's Creator" and selling unauthorized (By Marvel/Disney) art prints, T-shirts, etc of flame head. Disney/Marvelbhas issues with him referring to himself as GR's creator (despite it being on the Splash Page of his first appearance) and selling stuff not authorized by them.
Now, I can see the unauthorized prints/t-shirt angle. But selling his autograph is really none of their business.
If I could get people to pay for my signature, I can sign Marvel Comics I bought out of quarter bins all day long. I can sign black forest ham I bought at the deli. I can sign babies if people bring them to the table. Marvel can eat a dick about what I sign and how much I charge for it.

that would be true, if creators saw dime one from back-issue sales, but they don't.

I was being facetious, pointing out the general valueless-ness of Spawn.

Would've been awesome... if they'd reached this conclusion a decade ago, when people still gave a shit about Spawn.

Litigation-happy Todd McFarlane is now suing Spawn himself because he's run out of other fruitless lawsuits to start.

I wish I was McFarlane's lawyers. Those guys bank. I betcha they have more of his money than he does at this point. Billable hours, yo!

DC wins another verdict in Superman case.

And so it goes. Mark "Asshat" Toberoff is running out of appeals.

Soon to be black armor.

How fucking hard is it to remember "Batman is dark, Superman is not"?

The douchebro Superman and Armor Superman might've been DC hedging their bets if the Toberoff rulings went against them. They could have the framework of a new origin/look/backstory in place already.
Not that anybody at WBDC would admit that was the plan.

Plan?

Isn't using that word giving them too much credit?

You're right.
Mea culpa.

Not a comic legal battle so much as it is a goddamn unforgivable travesty, but Bob Kane is getting a Hollywood Star. And as usual Bill Finger is getting fuckall.
I sincerely wish Kane's widow Elizabeth would fall out of an airplane without a parachute and get gang abused by a swarm of flying Kodiak Bears on the way down. And she doesn't die when she hits the ground, but is run over by an 18-wheeler after laying in a crumpled pulpy mess on the ground overnight in the freezing cold while a pack of wolves nibbles at her soon to be carcass.
But even that's too good for her.

Didn’t know exactly where to put this.

A bunch of St Louis PD officers are under investigation by their IAD. Their Union President has asked supporters to post the Blue Punisher Skull as their profile image as a show of solidarity against haters.

You guys know I’m the biggest Frank Castle fan, and apart from a few of his earliest(very expensive) appearances have an almost complete run. But even I know a vigilante serial killer who routinely commits uncountable felonies and misdemeanors in his war on crime SHOULD NOT be the poster boy for Law Enforcement.
Anybody who thinks otherwise is SERIOUSLY missing the point of the character.
