speaking of you, i just picked up the transformers: animated version of ... you...

first time i'd seen it in stores, and i really like this rendition. never watched the show, haven't been all that interested in any of the other ones (though snarl is looking like a nice companion pieces, and soundwave is a stylized version of my car, and jazz looks really cool in robot form - all similar to the awesome TF classics mirage in exaggerated proportions). he's really cool, i love the steamshovel jaws. transformation is nearly identical to the G1 version, with a few tweaks and improvements.

Animated Grimlock (the large, $20 one) is the only Animated figure I have or will get. It's a sweet figure.

By the way, have y'all seen the newest pics of Masterpiece Grimlock on tfw2005.com? The motherfucker comes with a crown! A fucking crown! How shitting bricks awesome is that? It couldn't be more awesome if he came with Selma Hayek and she was naked and horny. I think this is the first Masterpiece to not only reference the original cartoon, but the Marvel comic as well. Fucking-A sweet!

Is Snigtad registered on that site? Someone responded to the pics with "I want to make love to it."

New Robot Heroes

Is the pairing of Riccochet and PREDAKING really appropriate? Seriously? And why the hell does Riccochet keep getting thrown in with the G1 figures? Am I missing something? Did I get thrust into an alternate reality where this guy was in the original line up? I need to go do some wiki-research...

Asshole first showed up FIVE Years ago!?!? Slimy Douche...trying to slip in as a classic G1 character is NOT cool...

I thought Ricochet was at least Generation 2. It looks like he was around in 1987, but only in Japan. Interestingly, lame-ass Quickmix had a Nebulan partner called Ricochet.

How did this Nebulan naming shit work? Most have weird alien names, like Monzo and Zarak and Galen, but some have goofy names like Hi-Q and Misfire and Ricochet. Did their mommies hate them?

Probably from different continents on Nebula.

Dave Smith sounds different from M'bumquai sounds different from Hyung-Sook Li sounds different from Pierre LaDouché.

Ok, I looked at that Soundwave. There is no way I could justify spending more that $25 on a Transformer or some other toy for myself.

Takara Eject, Rewind, Ravage and Laserbeak.

Are Eject and Rewind Autobots? I don't remember the names. $47.99 seems a little steep when they have these multi-packs of Minibots for $26. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/temp ... late=30565

Yeah, they were Autobots, and they first appeared (very briefly) in the movie.

My brother might of had those. I know he had the Autobot rhino and lion cassettes. After checking Ebay for prices on Ravage (vintage or otherwise), $12 per toy isn't bad.
