Is the Mario Kart code different from the Wii Code?
Man, I have to track this game down! Too bad it's not like X-Box where you could talk to people on a headset.

Yes, it is a different code.

My wife went online yesterday. It looks like it assigns the license number when you first go online, but I'm not sure how it differs from the friend code. I think maybe it's used to access friends' ghost races so you can kick their asses when they're not online.
Me, I've been focusing on unlocking cool shit. I've unlocked P Diddy Kong, Dry Bones, two more karts, and a bike. Oh, and King Boo, who was my default character until I unexpectedly unlocked myself.

The Wii code is 16 digits and the Mario Kart number is only 12.
Last night I was racing some of the ghosts. My record is something like 13-5 now. It should be 14-4, but I dozed off for a second during the last lap and drove off a cliff.

Picked up Winter Games and Ultimate Board Game Collection at Costco for $15.99 each.

The UBGC is to replace one I got at Target for $20 a few weeks ago. (Meaning, I'm taking this motherfucker back for the $4 difference next time I'm out that way.)
I provided my thoughts on Winter Games a few posts back. UBGC is a nice, cheap way to get a lot of board games for the Wii. The AI sucks--I've been playing chess for twenty years or more; though I won't claim to be a master by any stretch, I shouldn't be clobbered by "Easy" mode so quickly. It's more for multiplayer, though.

They're advertising the balance platform up here right now for 89.99. Are there any cool games coming out for that? I'm thinking Tony Hawk or surfing might be a fun rental with that setup.

My wife wants the Wii Fit when it comes out (its her birthday present). The only game I've seen so far that uses it is a Wii Skiing game. The disc that comes with the Wii Fit is supposed to have something like 60 mini-games on it.

We Ski is a third-party game, which makes me a little leery of it without reading reviews. (I think it was supposed to be called Wii Ski, but only Nintendo can make games that start with "Wii.")
The board looks cool, but $90 for one? And you can't get a second one without getting another copy of Wii Fit? That seems a bit much. It'll probably never come down in price, so I suppose we'll get it eventually.

Oh, Grimlock! I have a double post for you. Initiate fellatio mode.
I have been informed by my wife that she now wants a Wii Fit ASAP. I won't argue, since she's been kinda slacking in the "taking care of oneself" department lately and doesn't have a whole lot of energy because she doesn't exercise at all. Looks like TRU has a deal where We Ski is $10 off if you buy them both on Wednesday. I might do that; it looks like the reviews for We Ski are overwhelmingly positive.
The only good thing about Speed Racer doing so poorly at the box office is that the game might be down to $19.99 by this fall or by Christmas. I want that motherfucking game. I'm not getting it now because I know it's going to be a lot cheaper very soon.

I was thinking the same thing about Speed Racer.
I opened my WiiPlay. It's funner if you are playing against someone. I played all the games to unlock them, then my roomate came in and we replayed everything. Much funner the second time. I kick ass at billiards. Five balls on the break. Six shots total.
Still need to get Mario Kart. maybe with next weeks paycheck.

Billiards is probably the best one on there, though tanks and cow racing are pretty fun. I disagree with everyone who hates Find the Mii; it's a pretty good brain-teaser, and it actually gets kinda tough when you progress far enough.
Rollo, a few of your Miis apparently frequent the mall on my Mario Kart. (I think it's cool that it uses Miis from the Mii Parade that you haven't actually downloaded to use.)
I'm working on the 150cc races now. They're much harder than the first two circuits. The other racers play dirty now.

I couldn't figure out the "out of place Miis" for a few turns. The ones in the dark are very confusing, as are the swimming ones.
Tank is fun.
