GI Joe Monopoly? At least its from the 80s version. But still, paying over $30 for a board game is nuts.

If normal stores get it (likely, since it's made by Hasbro), look for it on clearance in October. In August, if the movie bombs.
I would hope they'd mix locales from the show and comic: Cobra-La mountain, Genghis Khan's tomb, Trucial Abysmia, Borovia, The Pit, Cobra Island, Springfield, Arashikage temple, Dreadnok complex, Sierra Gordo, etc. The Pit should be Boardwalk, and Cobra Island Park Place.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
Actually, during lunch today I went to a music/entertainment store that had it. The "Boardwalk" is GI Joe HQ, "Park Place" is the Cobra Terrordome. The 2 cheap properties right next to Go are the GI Joe bar and Cobra hangout from the cartoon. Can't remember the exact names. The game pieces were a Cobra snake, Timber, dog tags, a vehicle (I think the Dreadnaught's truck), the USS Flag, & Cobra Commander's helmet.

That's kinda lame, having a Terrordrome. There were dozens, if not hundreds, of them all over.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
So the GI Joe movie Deep Six is just a repainted 25th Anniv. Torpedo? By that logic, I suppose they could repaint Wet Suit and call him Torpedo and repaint Deep Six and call him Wet Suit.

Movie Deep Six, Movie Wet Suit, 25th Anniversary Wet Suit, 25th Anniversary Deep Six II, 25th Anniversary Cobra Diver, and 25th Anniversary Torpedo II are all 25th Anniversary Torpedo. I think both the 25th Anniversary Eel and Movie Eel with Jetski are Torpedo, too. They love that mold.

My Borders is closing real soon and they this book for 60% off (originally $28, IIRC), which come to less than $12.
They was a similar book during the POTF 2 era, The Star Wars Action Figure Archive.
If your Borders is closing soon keep an eye out for it.
Or let me know and maybe I can pick it up for someone.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
Marshalls/TJ Maxx (the same store, different name) have had a shit ton of 25th Anniversary stuff lately. I've bought some more army builders as well as quite a few figures for custom fodder. I expect to be able to make Kwinn, Slice, and Dice from what I picked up last weekend, and still have a lot of parts left over.

Not sure if it's universal, but WM marked Joe figures down to $4. All they had left were both versions of Cobra Commander and shit-tons of the first three Storm Shadows. (I guess they expected him to be popular since he was in the 1980s, without considering he did shit in the movie, and kids wouldn't recognize him.) I got both CC's, to use for parts.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
Looks like the SDCC exclusive is none other than 25th Anniversary styled Sergeant Slaughter. Hell yes. I've already started shamelessly begging for someone to procure one for me.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
While I was at TRU today, they had an exclusive uber-bright colored Doc and Arctic Shipwreck.
Are they bringing back the 25th Anniversary line, or just the Slaughter?
Seems like WM ant Target around here dropped the price on movie GI Joes to $4-$5.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
Just Slaughter... though the ROC/POC line is bombing so badly, it wouldn't surprise me if they went back to 25th Anniversary, or at least worked more classic-looking figures into the ROC line. With absolutely no tie-in show or advertising outside of geek publications, the 25th Anniversary line sold fuckloads more than the ROC line, which had a movie.
How do the Arctic Shipwreck and Doc look? I've not seen them yet, but I'm trying to find the best parts for Kwinn. I figure they probably use rehashed parts from earlier Arctic figures, though.

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
I thought Shipwreck looked alright. He is wearing a winter coat and knit cap and painted with realistic colors.

Doc didn't look like anything else in the line, unless you count the florescent colored Joes from the 90s. He was painted orange, yellow, and bright blue outfit.
