How the fuck do you guys find shit like this? I searched for an hour and only found the MadCatz one that is so insanely undersized it would be unusable. This one's a possibility; there were a couple of negative points in the only reviews I found, but were pretty minor. My only real iffy point would be the size of that transmitter; I'm not sure if four could fit comfortably in the Wii (especially since one reviewer had one Phantiq and one WaveBird, and made a comment about the Phantiq not fitting into the first port).
Then again, I've had trouble with every third-party controller I've ever bought or been given for any system since the NES, and it looks like GameStop has the cord for $1.99. I'm not a huge fan of the store, but they will take it back, no questions asked, if there's a problem, and two bucks in negligible in video game terms. I might not be able to get all four at once, but I doubt I'll have an opportunity to play four-player Medal of Honor for at least a month or two.
BTW, Rogue II, I've been checking every Fry's I can get to, but there aren't many around here. Nada. My parents went to one or two in Vegas right after you told me about the ones you found, and I can't be sure if they didn't know what they were looking for, asked a salesman who didn't know, or the store was just sold out. (With the apparent run on WaveBirds since the Wii came out, that's a definite possibility.)

I didn't look for the Wavebird the last time I was at Fry's so I don't know if they have it or not. That last time I made a post about it, there were a whole bunch of them. Looking back, I probably should have just bought you one.
To find this one, I went to yahoo and clicked on "Shopping" along the left hand side. Typed in Wavebird Controller...and there you go. There were a few dead links to the actual wavebird. EBGames' website had the Mad Cat and some other wireless controller.

Got two extension cables at two different GameStops yesterday. They don't match, but for $2, it's tough to beat. Now the Wii is out of the way of naughty little children.

Target has had some good clearances. I saw both Bully and Madden '08 for $12.48. At that price, I couldn't pass on them. I'm not a huge fan of these sports games that are so intricate and realistic; I'd prefer if they made generic sports games like they used to for the Atari, only a lot more advanced. But a football game for that cheap, I couldn't pass on even knowing it involved all the stuff that's, well, a lot less fun.

Target has more clearances going on. They had at least six different games for $20.98. Ninja Reflex and Transformers were the only ones that looked interesting. I grabbed TF, as I doubt it'll be around long enough to hit $6. The movie sucked, but it looked like a fun game.

Its pretty much official: I am the only person in the US that doesn't have a Wii.
Nintendo sold 687,000 Wiis (and 537,000 DS) in September alone.
They are selling over half a million systems per month 2 years later?
Fuck.
I did actually see one in a store for the first time in months the other day.
Some day...

My batteries just ran out for the first time. I have no interest in buying new Nintendo batteries, assuming (of course) that they're absurdly expensive. What do you guys do?

We use regular rechargeable batteries. We had some of those aftermarket rechargeable batteries that fit into the back. When our controller died, Nintendo said it was because of those things.
By the way, Target is having a buy 2 get 1 free sale on Wii games. We're going to buy the Littlest Pet Shop game for the kids Christmas gift, the new My Sims for the wife, and I get to pick the 3rd.

Between my wife and I, we went to 5 different Targets to find one that had that Little Pet Shop game. Those kids better love that game. Since it was buy 2 get 1 free, I also picked up the My Sims as planned and Wii Music. It is supposed to start off with something simple, like Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and work its way up. Don't ask me how it is yet because I won't know until Santa brings it.

Blah, blah Grimlock something something.
Any of you guys going to play the new Animal Crossing?

I have never played any Animal Crossing - but I have heard lots of good things. What I'd like to get is Rock Band super cheap for PS2, but that's not for the Wii topic.

Do the S-Video cables make a difference on Wii?

I actually picked up the component cables at Circuit City the day before yesterday, and they make a major difference on some games. I'm not sure about s-video... is there even an s-video connector on the Wii? Or are you referring to the component cables?
Also, check Circuit City for Wii Points. They're 30% off (at least at most of the ones I've been to). The things are never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever on sale, so $13.99 for a 2000-point card is likely the best deal you'll ever find. I doubt they'll last until the next markdown, unlike the Classic Controllers. I figure I'll get them when they're 40% off. Probably Monday; I bet they want to keep everything as high as possible until after the Super Bowl.
