I see Grimlock as sort of the Gen. Patton of the Autobots. He's obviously a capable leader and he gets things done, but how he does it is at odds with the Optimus and all of his moony-eyed followers.

Andrew Wildman is the only fleshling to ever do justice to my gorgeous visage. And he got to draw Megatron getting his cyber-ass kicked. Megatron is a goofball. If not for that nasty fusion cannon of his, Shockwave and I would've recycled him into tin cans breems ago.

Oh, and by the way, another bit of dirt on Grimlock: in Dreamwave's series, he joined us. Ha ha! Some loyalty there. Loyalty, or anything else requiring brains, was never Grimlock's strong suit.

What's new in the world of Transformers?

Stormbringer finished up, but I haven't read the last two issues.

i also got the Spotlights for Shockwave and Nightbeat. The Shockwave issue again focused on the seemingly inevitable squabble between him and the Dynobots. Very cool. Hopefully all these issues are going to tie back into the ongoing saga. Escalation starts soon. I'm getting a tentpole.

Grimlock showed up in Transformers Spotlight #2 : Shockwave where he and the other Dynobots ( yes, spelled with a Y) tracked Shockwave across the cosmos in order to get revenge on him. Typical Grimlock behavior.

Stormbringer just finished up and the story dovetails nicely into Escalation starting next month. Too bad Figeuroa isn't doing the art instead of E. Su or whoever. Plus its always cool to see lesser used Autobots like Whirl, Roadbuster, Twintwist, Topspin, Springer, Broadside, and Sandstorm. Collectively known as the Wreckers. hell, even Scoop showed up!

Transformers kick metal ass.

IT'S A HISTORY REPORT, NOT A FUTURE REPORT.

So Escalation came out yesterday, but wouldn't you know it, it was one of the five books I didn't get to. Once I've read it, I'll post comments.

You're fucking kidding me... again

Not much to see there. I wonder if this is their way of saying, "Man, we were fucking stupid to let that license go to another company."

How much do you want to bet Spidey won't recognize Gears?

And they'd better fucking put Circuit Breaker in there.

They said there would be a subtle nod to Marvel TF 3, but that it was not in continuity with that previous stuff.

I am going to buy this when it comes out. There. I've said it.

I scanned through the IDW boards. They confirmed that Circuit Breaker will not be involved, as she no longer exists, and that Death's Head would not, either.

Scary shit: this is apparently not a "what if?" but it actually takes place in regular Marvel continuity and in IDW's TF continuity! WTF? You retcon them out only to put them back in?

And one Decepticon IDW wasn't planning to use in the regular series will appear and be killed by humans.

Personally, I think it'd be funny if Circuit Breaker existed, and was in an asylum somewhere, thinking she'd been paralyzed by robots that never existed. And then she gets out and starts offing MU robots right and left.

Circuit Breaker would make a good MK/MAX title. This woman, who worked for Tony Stark had a break with reality and thinks she worked for G.B. Blackrock and fought giant ass robots in a skimpy circuit board outfit. So now shes in this asylum and doesn't know if what she remembered was real or not.

tfw2005.com has some details, apparently from Marvel. The Autobots and Avengers will team up to fight... Dr Doom and the Decepticons!

To paraphrase another forumite, god damn, that smells gay.

It bugs the shit out of me when all these universes are taken so fucking seriously, but they keep having all the crossovers with no explanation that are supposed to be in-continuity. What, no one noticed the big fucking robots running around before?

Remember all the Batman crossovers from the early 90s, where someone (Punisher or Spawn, normally) would just go to Gotham, tracking one of their villains, who would team up with Joker? And they went through all this trouble to make sure that, even if they were "What Ifs?", everything was consistent with the backstory of both characters up to that point? They just acted like Gotham was really in the Marvel or Spawn universe, and no one had noticed or had reason to go there.

Aside from JLA/Avengers, which was fairly decent, I've yet to see a good multi-universe crossover that involved one of the big two. Especially not Marvel vs DC. Wolverine killing Lobo? Yeah, fucking right.

Now TMNT... those boys know how to cross over into other universes! (Even if they did go a bit too far crossing into the Savage Dragon universe by remaining there. Did they cease to exist when Dragon accidentally destroyed the universe?)

Yeah, but when Mikey is still dating a member of Freak Force several years later, the crossover has gone on way too long.
