Oh, and it came out the exact day that X-Men #1 came out.

And Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Fantastic Four were all going strong at this point. As was Amazing-Spider-Man. Except for that last one, they were all drawn by Jack Kirby. And they were all written by Stan Lee.

Ann Carol Crispin passed away on Friday, succumbing to her long battle with cancer. Fuck you, cancer.
