Hey, hey! Ultimates 12 came out after seven years!! And it went by WAY too fast. Cap shivving the Nazi on the tip of his plane was GREAT. And then he followed it up with another great Captain America line (Remember the 'Don't you DARE salute that flag!" line from Avengers? Rock.) This time it's all about dissing the French. Ultimate Cap fucking rules!

So, I'm considering reconsidering my "bitch about it without checking it out" stance on the Ultimate Universe. Is it worth it overall, you thinks, to pick up the paperbacks?

And Marvel's site blows ass. Any of y'all have a good checklist of all the "Ultimate" stuff in paperback so far?

i don't read any ultimate stuff except for "the ultimates" - imo, it's definitely worth checking out... for me, JMS amazing spider-man and grant morrison's new x-men were the definitive versions out at the time, but the avengers always bored me out of my brain... so, it came around at just the right time.

that being said, i think all issues of ultimate spidey and x-men are present and accounted for in TPB's up to maybe six months ago - meaning the last six months should be out in TPB form soon. they are collecting EVERY issue of them, so don't worry - the stories are very readily available.

I have the first 20 or so issues of Ultimate X-Men and Ultimate Spider-Man on my PC. They used to offer an online comic player for download at the Marvel site, and you had to download the specific issues separately. I have no idea how to send them, or whether or not you'd be interested. Im just desparate for attention.

Seriously, if you want me to try and email any of it, I can winzip it and send it along.

Holy crackers. Has it been two years since we lasted posted here?

Ultimates 2 #10 has got to be the fucking coolest thing I have read in a long time!! Every page had me jumping up and down and giggling like a little kid. Tony dain bramaging that traitorous bitch Black Widow with a champagne bottle? Check. Hawkeye killing his torturers with his own ripped off fingernails? Check. An awesome last page where Captain America is about to beat seven kinds of ass on a bunch of no good villainous assholes? Check check. Comic adrenaline rushes don't ride any higher than this book.

Also, Bendis and Bagley are about to break Lee and Kirby's record for longest uninterrupted stretch by a writer/artist on a monthly book. Ultimate Spider-Man 103 will surpass the Lee/Kirby's FF run from the 60's. Cool.

That is cool. How long was it between Ultimates 2.0 issues 9 and 10? I had thought that second go 'round had long sinced ended - and haven't even read one issue of it. I suck.

Shit. Its months at a time for Ultimates. I think Ultimtes 3 might be on the second or third issue by the time the final issue from Millar and Hitch gets out. Those guys suck at punctuality. But fuck if that last issue wasn't worth the wait. It only sucks because we'll have to wait so long for the next ass-kicking issue.

It was a good stand-alone comic. I think I missed out on BLAMMO!!!! reaction, however, by not having read the leadup issues.

The entire second run of the book has been a systematic dismantling of the team, leading up to this point. They "executed" the Hulk for his rampage in issue 5 of the first series. They had Thor commited because they thought he was crazy and not Thor. They killed Hawkeye's family and kidnapped him for torturing, then framed Captain America for the murders, so Cap was incarcerated. They co-opted Hank Pym into helping them since his wife is boning Cap. And finally, Black Widow revealed herself as the traitor last issue in which the bad guys take over the USA in less than an hour. Nick Fury gets his arm ripped off. Jarvis gets it in the face. So the next two issues are gonna be "What's up now, Bitch?" as the <s>Avengers</s> Ultimates lay some serious smackdown.

Yeah, I was getting the fact that it was pretty much "Oooooh... you fuckin' with my HELmet, bitch. Don't you know who I am?????" time, but thanks for the reasons behind why. I may try to pick up these issues, but I've got bigger fish to fry - namely Nighthawk #6. :(

haven't been keeping up with my Ultimate U much.

Ultimates comes out every five or six months it seems.

Ultimate Spidey is knee deep in its Clone Saga ( which isn't as gay as it sounds...)

I have not read Ultimate X-Men in a long time because they keep pushing Bryan Singer's arc back and back and back and in the meantime everything is...filler.

After Ultimates 2 and Bagley's run on Ultimate Spidey wrap up, I think I'm outie...

i dropped ult F4 like a brick, i picked up the newest couple of issues of ult spidey (which i hadn't been reading... and i stick by that assessment...) still collect ultimates, and will until there are no more. not interested in sultipreme powermate, but i do collect the off ultimini which basically ALWAYS dissapoints. it's always 6 issues of heroes hanging around and then a quick stupid resolution. at least when the heroes hang around in ultimates, eventually there's gonna be a crazy kick-ass battle...
