I've always wanted to play those, having heard great things for years. The LFL dudes flat-out denied ever putting anything on the Wii Virtual Console at Comic-Con. Nice to know they were lying.
Since N64 games are on there, I hope we get Podracer, Shadows of the Empire, and Rogue Squadron soon.

I still have a N64 with Rogue Squadron and Shadows of the Empire. Shadows of the Empire didn't age very well.

The SNES games were typical side-scrollers but they were fun.
I always wished they would have released a Super Star Wars Trilogy game on a newer console, like Capcom did with 10 Mega Man games on 1 disc.
Hell, a Super Star Wars Saga would be even better - Episodes 1-3 in the same style would be awesome!

We got it, but I've barely played because I've been gone. Seems pretty cool.

The Wii Internet channel is now free. Yes, you can browse online porn on TV now. Isn't technology great?

It has been for a few months. I haven't downloaded it yet, though.

I played the Wii for the first time about two weeks ago. I fucking hate it and it's a fucking gimmick. Period.

What game did you play to hate it so much?

yeah, it's kinda like saying "i read one book and it was so bad that now i hate reading."
it could've just been a really bad game, because when the controls are used well, it's really awesome. like in metroid prime 3.

And there are admittedly a LOT of really shitty Wii games, particularly third-party games. In fact, good third-party games are unfortunately the exception, since so many companies rushed to jump on the bandwagon.

It wasn't any game in particular. It's just that I bought Beatles Rock Band (and of course they didn't have the bundle) so I had to buy Band Hero for the instruments and you need a damn controller in EVERY instrument to play it. So we had to try and find controllers so we could play the guitar, drums, and use the microphone. As if it's not bad enough to pay $250 for the Wii and $60 for the game you then have to spend $150 for the instruments and then another $150 for 3 more controllers just so you can play the damn instruments? I just thought that was bullshit. And once we got the controllers I played the drums and they were shitty. I'd hit the highhat and it wouldn't register unless I beat the shit out of it. I'm no drum pro but I know that to properly play them you simply let the stick bounce off to hit again.
Maybe it was just one bad experience and it was probably that game in particular that turned me off of it but I can guarantee that I'll never own a Wii.

you can't really blame nintendo for that - the manufacturers of the games created/contracted the controllers for RB and GH. RB uses controllers that have their own internals (which requires a wireless USB dongle), whereas GH decided to use the wiimotes for native bluetooth connectivity. the sensitivity of the drums probably has little to nothing to do with the wiimote and more the internals that send the signal to the wiimote from the pads themselves. i keep having quite a few problems with the GH:WT guitar, but the problem is/was the connection between the neck and body, which was a documented issue. i haven't had the time to play GH5 to see if the new guitar has alleviated that problem.
and the wii is $200 like, everywhere now. if you're paying $250 you're getting screwed. you could've also gotten GH:WT for around $100 (if you can find it) as that set is compatible with BRB.
