V for Vendetta was better than the graphic novel.
Yeah, I said it.
Alan Moore has admitted he had no clue where the hell the story was going for a few years (it took about a decade for him to finish it), and there are a lot of elements that pop up and go nowhere. The film was far more streamlined.

Its very cool. Could've used more actual Rocketeer in it though. If it were made today I'm sure it would have.Rogue II wrote:I haven't seen The Rocketeer since it came out on VHS. I barely remember it now.
And Jennifer Connelly's (fully clothed) breasts co-starring is awesome.
Agreed. Although I really liked the graphic novel, the movie was much better.anarky wrote:V for Vendetta was better than the graphic novel.

And it had Natalie Portman.

I second that! Those puppies in a wife beater were the ONLY reason to see "Career Opportunities"Diabolical wrote:And Jennifer Connelly's (fully clothed) breasts co-starring is awesome.

I watched Inside Man with Denzel, Clive Owen, and Jodie Foster. I guess I either forgot , or never realized it was a Spike Lee film. A considerable departure from his usual movie. Pretty good, especially how the Clive owen character gets away with it in the end. And Kim Director's breastsare almost as nice as Jennifer Conelly's.
I also saw a straight to DVD western called Seraphim Falls with Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan. I think it was shot 100% on location/outdoors. (There was one short scene in a cabin, but it looked like it was an actual cabin an not a set somewhere). It also featured the best use of a beartrap as a boobytrap EVER. Got a little weird at the end with Anjelica Huston showing up, but otherwise, pretty solid movie.

I sat through the live action 101 Dalmatians for the first time last night. Hugh Laurie from "House" played dog thief Horace ( or Jasper...one of them) and the Weasely dad from the Harry Potter flicks played the other. After watching it I can say...don't mess with classic Disney movies. Especially turning them into live action.
I also watched the first ten minutes or so of Now and Then which I hadn't seen in forever. Who would believe that Cristina Ricci would grow into lardass Rosie O'Donnell? Is Christina Ricci in the "nekkid" topic yet?

I watched the cheesy 70's sci-fi "classic" Omega Man with Charlton Heston. It's an adaptation of the Richard Matheson Vampire novel I Am Legend ( the same one Will Smith is doing this Christmas). Man it was cheesy. The music is totally innapropriate throughout, like bad 70's detective show music when it should be scary. Stuff like that. The dialogue was incredibly dated, and Charlton Heston just has this smug smirk on his face the entire movie that just cracks me up. Check it out and prepare to go all MST3K on it.
I also saw Bridge to Terabithia and WOW is that movie's trailer misleading. I thought it was some bad Narnia knock-off and it wasn't that AT ALL. And the movie takes such a spirit crushing plot turn towards the end, I was just floored. I highly recommend watching it, and then going back and watching the trailer afterwards. Completely misleading.

Saw part of a foreign flick called Rosario Tijeras last night. I missed about 20 minutes at the start, and fell asleep because it was so fucking late, so I only caught maybe a half hour.
Watch this movie.
The chick in it is HOT, and she does a lot of fucking.
I couldn't follow it too well, since it jumped around in time, which wouldn't be too tough to understand except the subtitles were absolutely horrid.
Seriously, though, the chick is hot.
