Say what you will about him, Lucas has always had a gift with names. Well, until "Darth Maul" and "General Grievous."
Don't forget about Darth Sidious...
Seeing all of these names, much like JJ, makes my hair hurt. I've been out of the loop for a few years now and it's unfortunate that I could care less to get back in it. All of my Star Wars stuff is just rotting away in my storage shed. *shrugs*
My last 3 sw figures showed up for this year - Luke Death Star Escape, Luke Dagobah Landing & Nikto Jedi. They're all really good versions of figures I likely didn't need.
I will say this, looking through the year's figures as I put these ones away I noticed that the AOTC wave were some of the best ones and I'm glad I bought them. I do promise to try & do better at buying only OT figures next year however.
Wife and I each bought 2 wave 5 Lego mini figures. I got the Lizard Man and Gladiator. She got the Egyptian Queen and Aerobics instructor. We'll probably get some more during a sale. Th kids want the Zookeeper .
got Ninjago Skeleton Bowling, Ninjago Ice Dragon and Kingdom's Escape from Dragon's Prison during TRU's B2G1F sale. also got a free Ninjago Shrine with the purchase of Skeleton Bowling.
We went to California this past weekend for my brother's wedding. On the way back, we hit the Lego store. They had a big bin of minifigure parts where you could build 3 figures for $10. The kids and I each built one. Mine police man was way cooler than their's.

yeah, the BaM (Build-a-Minifigure) station and PaB (Pick-a-Brick) wall are the main draws for the LEGO stores. you can pretty much buy everything else for the same price or lower elsewhere, save for some of the big-ticket items.
That makes sense. There were several higher end sets I had not seen before.
I expected both of my kids to build women mini-figures because there aren't really that many women figures. At first I thought my older daughter was going to build a female doctor. Seemed like a good idea since there don't seem to be many medical Lego sets lately. I turned my attention to my younger daughter. By the time we went to check out, my older daughter built something different. Oh well.
It seemed like the bin had some random parts from the single pack mini figures, but not enough to complete any of them.

my daughter did a three-pack with three of the same girl head, same hair and different shirts and pants. i told her to vary it a bit. she said they were sisters. at least one of them had the Blacktron 3 torso, so i was cool with it.

yeah, they've been adding Collectible Minifigure Series 1 pieces over time. i want to get a few more spacemen. i first saw them at the West Nyack, NY store but they didn't have the helmets. they had all the pieces necessary at the Garden City, NY store last time i went, but we didn't have the money
