Walgreen's is having a buy 1 get 1 free sale on GI Joe and Star Wars. That actually makes their price reasonable. So, this week I've hit several stores with no luck. Today, I went into one near my office. They had a couple Alley Vipers, Low Light, Hazard Viper, Duke, a couple Storm Shadows, and a couple Renegades figures. I bought an Alley Viper and Duke.

From Walmart, I got a small $3 blue ninja Lego set that comes in a bag. I also got Army of Darkness from the $5 bin & would have grabbed Serenity also, but it was only in full screen.

How retarded is it that WM still insist on studios supplying them with FullScreen versions of DVDs? They go great with the wall of WIDESCREEN HDTVs they offer.

My Black Friday Matty order arrived today.
I got two more sets of Eternian Palace Guards(that's 4 more guards, for a total of 8) and a Captain Glenn all for 50% off.

Found Legends Prime and Megatron today at Marshalls. The whole "Megatron is a gun!!!!!" thing compelled me to get him, and I just had to get Prime to have the matched set. No Trailbreaker or the others, unfortunately.

The same Marshalls had the Vintage Attack of the Clones wave (the first one) for $4.99. I got Peasant Disguise Ani and Padme, whom I've passed on several times for full price. For five bucks, I can forgive the shortcomings in their heads. I also grabbed Mace, since the head is the most perfect representation of Samuel L. they've ever put out. (He probably was released before and I missed him.) Passed on Kit Fisto; even though he's on an AOTC card, he's clearly the pointless, inexplicable ROTS re-design, which I loathe.

I've seen Trailbreaker, Prowl, and Bumblebee a few times. Did you want me to pick any of the up and add it to that pile of other stuff I have for you?

DCUC Wave 19 arrived today. A very VERY JSA-centric wave: GA Sandman, GA Atom, GA Hawkman, Stargirl, and Magog. Kobra is the lone villain in the wave, and for some BS legal reason, he's called "Lord Naga" on the packaging.
The CNC figure is S.T.R.I.P.E. to go with Stargirl.
I'd be more excited, except I boxed up all my other DCUC figures a few months ago due to space considerations. Kobra is by far the nicest figure in the set. Atom is too tall, Sandman is just the 'suit' buck, and the Hawkman is a redeco with a new head. Stargirl has muffin top issues. Magog looks good. Except that it's Magog.

Wave 20 should arrive in late January, and that's the last Wave.

My patience paid off and my WM dropped the DCUC Crime Syndicate 5-Pack down from $79.99 to 37.50. So I bought one of those. Yay!

I also got Marvel 6" Thor:Lord of Asgard for $7.50.

Got the Lego CIty Police Chase set from Walmart. It was marked down 50% to $12.40.

Target had the Han/Tauntaun/Hoth Rebel set marked down to $12. I once again considered it, but again decided I don't really need it.

Damn. I've seen both Tauntaun sets for $17.48, and told myself one more markdown and I may not be able to hold out further. They were still at that price today. I'm going to snag one of the seven billion Star Wars Lego advent calendars after one more markdown, too.

I picked up Quick-Kick yesterday, the only Joe left at the local Ross after Christmas. I don't like him as Quick-Kick, but might find another use for him or just imagine he's Bruce Lee or something. :)

Went to the local flea market today and got 5 GI Joes for $5 total. They are Resolute Cobra Trooper, ROC Duke from a 5-pack, Mail away Doc, Vintage Lifeline, and the SDCC Cobra Commander in his black suit. Bad news is that they didn't come with any accessories and Cobra Commander is missing a hand. Hopefully I can find a replacement hand that will fit. Duke and the Resolute trooper have their vests. I'm sure I have a Cobra helmet that will work for the resolute trooper.

That's too bad about the accessories. CCs little podium is cool.

Yeah, the podium is the only thing I can't replace. I'm not having any luck with extra hands. All of the pegs I've tried so far are too small. Still, the cheapest SDCC Cobra Commander on Ebay is $20.

The Toys R Us Arctic Doc's accessories will have to do, but I could probably pick up some replacements from ebay.

Had to go back out to Walmart. Hoped to find the new GI Joes. No luck. Walked through the lego section and saw the Earth Defence HQ set. It didn't have a price on it, so out of curiosity, I went and scanned it. It came up for $44. Today was a lucky day.

I was in WM today and their toy section was a ghost town. Besides about 500 Star Wars Advent calendars and a billion Ninjago skeletons their Lego selection is wiped. The TF selection is bare. The Green Lantern stuff is gone entirely. The Marvel stuff is wiped out. It's a real mess.
