The preview pages I've seen don't look especially good. And, worse, it looks like the first three issues all take place in the same cave!

The 'Con who gets killed will likely be Dreadwind or Darkwing (can't remember which one it is in the lineup in issue #1) or Ramjet, who apparently makes his debut in this series. If it's Ramjet, I will personally drive to San Diego and kick everyone on IDW's staff in the nuts until their peckers stick out of their noses.

Don't fuck with Ramjet in an out-of-continuity story. If you want to kill Ramjet, send him out with dignity, maybe killing that overrated pussy Sideswipe in the process.

Damn, I hadn't thought of that. I'm getting the paperbacks. I got Escalation back in May. I guess it would've been about 2-6 months prior to that that the series ended. That's a long break, Mr Furman. What did you do in the meantime? Some Beast Wars shit? C'mon, that ain't real Transformers.

IDW focused on movie related books over the summer. Aside from a Spotlight or two and the Megatron Origin books.

That's right. I forgot Simfur wrote the movie prequel, the movie comic (???), and the new UK-exclusive Titan comic. I'd insert a sigh that the Titan comic is UK exclusive, but it's in the movie universe, so who gives a shit?

Then again, the incomparable Geoff Senior is drawing the Titan comic. Sigh, after all.

More importantly... Origins: The Thirteen!

As in the Original Thirteen! Fuck yeah!!

All we know so far are Prima (AKA Primon in some continuities), The Fallen, The Last Autobot, (possibly) Alpha Trion, and (possibly) Maccadam.

Though if the Original Thirteen exist in IDW, I wonder how it's possible to not involve Unicron and Primus.

So, I just read that the upcoming All Hail Megatron! series is in-continuity.

This worries me.

The story is about a Decepticon-ruled Earth. Teaser pics show Megatron holding a pike with Prime's head speared on it.

Worse, such a seemingly important story is not written by Furman.

I hope that the ongoing subplots about the Dead Universe, Galvatron, Jhiaxus, etc, have something to do with this, and that it is set in some kind of pocket universe, or something.

Well Devastation ended with all the Autobots suddenly going off planet. I wish there were more regular series. The only that keeps this continuity running is the Spotlight books ( which are awesome). I liked the Six Issue on Earth, Four issues off world premise they started with Stormbringer.

I wouldn't put it past Furman throwing a major monkeywrench in the gears by killing Optimus. That guy thinks outside the box.

BTW, I got Spotlight Volume II a couple of days ago. Mostly quite good. The questions raised in Galvatron and Optimus Prime about the whole Nova Prime/Jhiaxus/Galvatron/Dead Universe are quite interesting. Galvatron is the "herald" of someone in the Dead Universe, but Furman has said no Primus or Unicron. Hmmmmm....

The Ramjet spotlight sucked all kind of balls. Shitty art, worse than shitty story, even shitty lettering. Plus, they made one of my childhood favorites into a total fucking moron and he got his ass kicked and torn to bits. Ramjet was always a loner, but a traitor, and a dumb one at that? WTF?

Chris Ryall writes on his blog that "Revelations" will be told in four interconnected Spotlight issues, and will be the end of Furman's "--ation" series.

I'm not sure how to interpret that, and no one else on various message boards seems entirely sure, either.

Is it:
A) This is the end of this continuity,
B) The continuity will go on, but Furman will no longer be writing it, or
C) Furman will continue writing, but this particular story arc on Earth is done with?

I'm really hoping for C. A isn't entirely out of the question, though it would be odd to cut short a successful series by a fan-favorite author (regardless of fucktards on Transformers message boards who think he's anything but the Hama of Transformers). B would be stupid as fuck, since every TF story they've published by another writer has been ridiculously subpar. (The Kup Spotlight is probably the best of these, but it pales next to anything by Mr Furman.)

It would be a really weird place to end the continuity (unless they are mega-retarded and want to focus on movie continuity, which I would not put past Hasbro Douche Squad).

And Furman is the only one who really knows what is going on this continuity, so it would be crazy to shuffle him off and let someone else come in and take over (but again, Hasbro is idiotically douchey enough to do something this monumentally stupid).
