Re: star wars
I'm not feeling the recession, and I doubt many other collectors are, either. At any rate, they have to plan these things well in advance, so it's not like they could have stopped it during the economic downturn.
For the record, the new A-wing has a much more accurate paint job all over, the removal of those clear things in the back that served no purpose, and a super kick-ass new cockpit. Plus, it's been 11 years since there's been a red A-wing available, and the green one was released six years ago. And they finally got the helmet right (I like to think it's in part since I asked them the question about when they're finally gonna get the helmet right, and they said they didn't realize beforehand that they were doing it wrong). So, I'm just sayin'. It's got a lot more going for it than just the new Arvel Crynyd head on Tycho's body (which is also a first, since the last Arvel Crynyd was an Asian man in an incorrectly colored Y-wing pilot suit).

Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Re: star wars
I still don't see how that justifies the $30 price tag.
The WM near me still has Saga 2 and some TAC figures in the clearance aisle for regular price.
My wife said she saw that Endor battlepack last week at Target. I'd like to see it in person before I buy it, plus I'm hoping Target puts them on sale for $18 again. The next things I'm waiting for is the ANH wave and the Yavin battlepack...I think. Was there any other OT stuff announced that is coming out in the near future?

Re: star wars
It won't affect a lot of collectors, but it will affect people who would've ordinarily have bought every unique figure if it's only available with a ship that's been issued twice before and now costs twice as much.

I have never read any of your posts, but from what I can learn I should say that for people who like the kind of posts you deliver, they are just the kind of posts such people like.

Not to keep playing devil's advocate, but it was $20 both times earlier. I didn't even realize until just now that the $20 starfighter line of vehicles has only been around since 2005, but now everything seems to be priced around that.anarky wrote:It won't affect a lot of collectors, but it will affect people who would've ordinarily have bought every unique figure if it's only available with a ship that's been issued twice before and now costs twice as much.

Re: star wars
Since there isn't a section for Star Wars Legos...
In case anyone is interested, on Black Friday (Fuck off Kirk Lazarus) Target will have the Lego Star Destroyer for $59.99.
That's fucking cheap.

Re: star wars
If any of you happen to have extra money and find that Star Destroyer would it be too much trouble to help a brotha out with getting one? I've got PayPal and I'm good for it.
Sweet berry wine!
Re: star wars
I've been in collecting hibernation since July. Did I miss the Revenge of the Sith wave? Aw, fuck it. I'll just order them online at some point.

You might have missed the repaint wave, but there's nothing too amazing there anyway.

Re: star wars
I saw FX-6. He didn't look too good. I really want Breha from that wave, and maybe Grievous, depending on how the final product looks. I figure if I pass, they'll release him next year with a cape, anyway.
Breha's like the cute girl from the planet next door who you'll have sex with if you can't get Padme.

Starwars.com emailed me some coupons. What do they mean any AT-TE? Isn't there only 1?
