At Target, I got the Ki-Adi/Sharad set. I almost got the Talon Karrde and Borsk Feyla sets, but decided they weren't quite worth the $10. Turns out, the more SW stuff you pass on, the easier it is to pass on newer stuff. I briefly considered the Xizor and Quinlan sets, but the Leia sucks ass, and I wasn't excited about another fucking Clonetrooper.
At WM, I found the rest of the ANH wave. Got them all. I figured Obi-Wan was a major improvement after all, and, besides, it finishes off a droid that's 3/4 finished anyway.

Normally I can resist. But in this case, I already had the entire rest of the figure, and JJL was right: Obi-Wan is a substantial enough improvement over the earlier ones, after all.

How true. It has lead to me passing on some battlepacks and other things that I probalby would have bought in the past. I also have a couple incomplete Build-a-droids from last year because of that. It is also why I didn't want to buy too many GI Joes or Transformers.anarky wrote:Turns out, the more SW stuff you pass on, the easier it is to pass on newer stuff.
I'm still on the fence about buying that Ewok comick pack. The next SW thing I do plan on buying is the Yavin set.

grabbed 'stealth strike iron man' this weekend. first movie tie-in figure to have a different mold, which i was surprised by. they really were trying to get as much mileage out of the movie figure mold as possible: mark II, mark III, and to a lesser extent the 'prototype' version (with the interchangeable hands, removable chestplate and helmet - still re-used upper arms, shoulders, and legs from the other two) plus the walmart 'not war machine' special edition, the target 'silver centurion' special edition, the 'captain america armor' version (that i got a few weeks ago) and now the 'satellite armor' and 'torpedo suit' versions. meanwhile, i found this page that has a lot of odd variants that i hadn't seen before:

there's an iron man colored iron monger (which actually looks really cool) and a blue 'classic' colored iron monger. a gold colored movie 'mark I' version (also really cool looking) plus a lot of other guys that i've never seen before, as well as older lines.

Picked up the Punisher from the new Marvel 3.75 line. Pretty so-so. The joints are loose and Frank has a bit of a hunch and his face looks like it belongs on a random henchman figure. Probably should have waited for the wave 3 revision figure, but I wanted to add it to my small collection of Punisher figures (Mighty Muggs, Marvel Legends Comic, Marvel Legends Movie, Superhero Squad, Mini Mates and now this one).
Also grabbed the SW Saga Legends electronic Artoo because it was on sale for $6.

I saw that Punisher figure. His head looked twice the size of Silver Surfer's and Spiderman's.
My wife went to her parent's this week. She brought back a small moving box full of Legos that were her brother's and nephews. It looks like there are mostly from the space and town series. That's a lot of Legos.

My wife found the Yavin battlepack for me today. It just occured to me I have no idea what else is coming out or when. So, either I forgot what else was displayed at Toy Fair or nothing new I want is coming out until after Comic Con.
We saw the Clone Wars Jabba this weekend. Looks like the Saga Deluxe version with a new head and a weird droid.

I got Jabba a few days ago. He's actually all-new, and his mouth opens when you turn his arm. He's pretty cool. He has the same railing and pipe/bowl as the 2004 one (though the bowl parts are glued together) and the TC-70 droid is a repainted C-3PO. I like this set.
I also got the Rancor, which is pretty great.
I saw the Yavin set but it was over $26 at that Target, so I'll wait until I can find it for less, since each Target seems to have a different price now. And Ran, the ESB wave is coming out now, and so is the Clone Wars wave with Jar Jar and Kit Fisto, though I haven't found anything from either.

Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Don't forget, though, that there's only one Ugnaught per card, and the Rebel Trooper will be skirtless for a while. I'll still get the trooper right away to get the proper droid part . . . I can always have a few rebels anyway. Then, later, the Ugnaught and trooper will be different versions, but I dunno when they'll switch.Ran wrote:Thanks. Forgot all about it so I just looked it up. I was planning on getting one of each version of Hoth Rebel and Ugnaught whenever I see them.
