The "Retro" GI Joe stuff just looks like the rest of the modern stuff in vintage packaging.

The "Retro" Ghostbusters stuff looked like it was from the 80s.

It's the 50th Anniversary figures, with fewer accessories, put on some of the flimsiest cards (which look mostly like the 80s ones but not quite) at more than double the price point.

The HISS Driver and Crankcase have a few new parts.

It's crazy. I might buy them if the prices were fair.

Because it's generally cheaper than buying good vintage figures, even loose.

Agreed, it's a cheaper way to have an approximation of your old toys, MOC, without having to do much seeking or spending.

Found the Grand Master and Korg Marvel Legends 2 pack for $15 and the DJ Roomba (or whatever his name is) from Galaxy's Edge for $10 at a discount store.
The boxes are beat six ways to hell so they're definitely getting opened.

Finally found the two two-packs of the movie ninja turtles.
NECA finally stayed doing a massive restock of them at Walmarts, asking with a cool Super Shredder I passed on.

NECA (via Facebook) told me just last week that the figures were never exclusives and weren't being produced anymore.
They have idiots that run their social media.

How many TF figures you think you own by now?
I’m going thru boxes I’m moving out of storage and finding some gems I forgot I owned.
I just lack the proper space to display everything I have.

I refuse to consider the answer because it will remind me I could own a beachfront mansion in San Diego instead.

I have stopped getting figures of characters unless they're better than what came before. Trouble is, the War For Cybertron line, especially when combined with Studio Series '86, is churning out one definitive version after another.

that's always going to be your downfall - they will continue to churn out a "more definitive" version year over year now - as technology advances, so does the detail and tooling.

so, unrelated question: does Hasbro offer replacement parts? the new kittens chewed the forks off the Amban Phase-Pulse Rifle that came with my Black Series "Din Djarin & The Child" (damn adorable terrors!!!) what's the over/under on being able to get a replacement?

It's still pretty new, I hope they have one for you!

I ordered a second Carbon Freezing set for $35 Canadian off amazon - half the price of the first one I got. Still waiting for a similar chance at the hallway sets.

I have preordered (but not received) some newer 3.75" vintage figures:

Boba Fett on ROJ cardback
Snaggletooth
Death Star Droid
Bespin Escape Leia
ATST Driver
Endor Luke
One of the Ewoks

Other than Leia, these are the first "remakes" of these particular vintage cards. We're almost at 70 of the just over 100 vintage cards having been remade.

Fairly recent pick ups:
All 7 Mandalorian retro figures
The new Loki and Scarlett Witch Marvel Legends
Sam "Hold on to your butts" Jackson from the Jurassic Park line
Deluxe Boba Fett Black Series
All 4 TMNT and April Pops
The Artoo and Threepio concept series Pops

And some lame Clone Trooper and GI Joe for some nerd.

here's hoping. it seems like some variation of Din is in production, so maybe there is a cache of them.

i forgot to mention that i also managed to get the Black Series RotJ Boba Fett, and he looks very good next to Din.

Picked up Vintage Collection Paploo, ATST Driver & Leia Endor over the past few days. For anyone keeping track, we have had the chance (or will in the next few months as a few more confirmed figures hit the pegs) to get 71 of the original 105 cardback photos. Not bad.

Who's missing? Well, the mother fucking Deuce for one. :frus:

And in case you're asking which 9 figures had more than one picture used, here's that info:

Darth Vader (lightsaber card, followed by a close up for ROTJ)
ANH Luke (farmboy to start, then Falcon gunner for ROTJ)
Old Man Ben (lightsaber with hood to start, hood down for ROTJ)
Chewbacca (growling to start, Endor messy hair for ROTJ)
ANH Han (blaster out, then 2 hands on stormtrooper blaster for ROTJ)
Boba Fett (space card, then skiff card for ROTJ)
Yoda (on log to start, close up for ROTJ)
Bespin Luke (close up changed to full body shot early in ESB)
Bespin Leia (profile changed to straight on image early in ESB)

I was killing time and went into a Walmart that I haven't been to in a long time. They had Endor Leia, Paploo, and the AT-ST Driver. The AT-ST Driver might be one of the most boring figures ever put on a vintage card.

I also checked out the Transformers. They had a Grimlock with Wheelie from the animated movie. They had several other figures from the Beast Wars series. The boys at Hasbro were really generous when they designed Black Arachnia's boobs.

Anyway, I didn't buy anything.
