I'm not sure I could pick Breyfogle out of a lineup. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of the guy.

Truth is, I couldn't either. But I assume he'll have all sorts of semi-abstract angular stuff going on that makes him look hella cool.
So, it looks like they're sticking with the retarded idea of having the Joker sans face. Next up, we'll see Penguin without his nose, so it can't hold up the monocle. I also understand they're doing a Dr. Doom crossover, only Doom will be extra nasty because he's missing his mask and thinks he's ugly, but he got plastic surgery in his sleep and doesn't know it.
I thought it was fucking hilarious that in the CBR interview, the interviewer didn't get the obvious reference in the title to a classic Batman story, "Death in the Family." And how Snyder thinks the last good Joker story is The Killing Joke despite, uh, naming "Death of the Family" after a more recent Joker story.
Syder is just like Morrison, methinks: fine as long as he stays the fuck away from Batman, where he's out of his element and over his head, no matter what sycophantic editors and fanboys think.

Snyder's run on Detective, before the big Sept. Fuckup, was damn good. You should check it out, Chux.
It's post-Flashpoint that sounds awful. And if George Perez is a reliable source(and I consider him one) then the awefulness is Nelson/Didio/Harras/Johns/Lee and their WB puppet masters, and not so much the writers.

I will consider heavily your words on pre-Nu 'Tec. For I do indeed consider Perez to be one of the voices of reason. And possibly the nicest guy in comics, after the late, great Mike Wieringo.

Tim Drake's Origin is definitely getting an overhaul. He was never actually Robin at this point. It's questionable whether Batman even knows who he is. And certainly the wonderful father/son relationship that was nurtured through 1000 different issues of Batman, Robin, Detective and the other series has been thrown out. Another mark in the red column for DC's Nu52.
Bob Harras is an Asshole.
Diane Nelson is an ignorant bitch.
Dan Didio is a prick.
Geoff Johns is a douche.
Jim Lee is a sellout twat.
Scott Lobdell is a hack.

Oooh, and Tom DeFalco! I thought he was dead.
The names you chose are not good enough for these people, and I hesitate to call them "people" anymore. The proper insults have not been created; they would be too harsh to exist without damaging the universe itself.

And if their supposed argument is "accessibility" (which is also why they made Babs Batgirl again), think of this:
Dick Grayson was Robin for decades, including the TV show. He's so iconic, even characters in other media based on Jason and Tim are often called "Dick."
Jason Todd was Robin for a couple of years. He has only appeared in spin-offs that are direct adaptations, like Under the Red Hood. Casual fans only knew him inasmuch as his death got media coverage, but had no idea he wasn't Dick, nor that his replacement wasn't Dick back from the dead.
Tim Drake was Robin for decades. Not as long as Dick, but he did appear in Batman: The Animated Series, the touchstone most casual fans have with the characters.
Stephanie Brown, well, she doesn't exist anymore, so fuck it.
Damian Wayne-Cuntface has been Robin for less than a decade because everyone sucks one Scottish guy's dick. Absolutely no one outside the small world of comics readers in the 21st century knows who he is, and most would think you're lying if you told them who he was and where he came from.
Eliminating Tim's tenure as Robin is a mistake at all levels.

And yet in Batman and Robin Damian is currently trying to beat the shit out of the other 3 Robins, including Tim, to prove he's worthy of the title.

Oooh, that's a nasty continuity fart. No, scratch that. That's a full-on continuity shart.

My take is that this New 52 didn't affect the main Batman titles, as it seems all of the old continuity still applies and almost nothing has changed.

Which is actually more of a mess, if all the Batman titles are set in a different universe from all their other titles, which often feature Batman.

OR DC doesn't know what the fuck is going on in any of their books.
Some Warner Bros. asshole who never read a single comic as a child or as an adult is sending memos to DC telling them what to write.

Change of subject, but something just struck me as odd.
Where the fuck in the DCnU is Sin Tzu?
You're probably saying, "Who the fuck is
Sin Tzu?" He was created for a video game called
Rise of Sin Tzu, and the packaging and marketing made a major huge fucking big deal about him being created by Jim Lee. The game came out at roughly the same time as the Hush miniseries, when Jim Lee on Batman was a big thing.
Wikipedia claims the character wasn't popular and that's the reason he never appeared in other media. I'm guessing he's not popular because he never appeared in other media; he was actually one of Lee's cooler creations, all things considered.
Anyway, we just got a huge fucking reboot where nothing jives with anything else but it's a big blowjob for shitty 1990s Marvel rejects like Liefeld, Harras, Lobdell, and, most especially, Jim Lee.
So, again, where the fuck in the DCnU is Sin Tzu?

He's in a very intense game of euchre with Wally West, Steph Brown, and Donna Troy.
