Bitch about movie critics

Okay, seriously, why the fuck do these guys get to review movies the way they do?

Almost every review seems to begin with "I've never been a fan of...." Call me nuts, but if you're prejudiced against a character or concept, shouldn't you opt out of reviewing it, or at least keep an open mind?

This time I'm talking about the reviews for Mr Bean's Holiday. They're mostly negative. But every goddamned one of them starts with something about how the reviewer has always found Mr Bean unfunny and annoying. Dude, get your head out of your ass and review the fucking thing fairly! It's not like your job is secure, with anyone anywhere able to review movies online, you putz.

I hate all movie critics. I could understand the "I've never been a fan" line for a comic book adaption. But to say I dont like these movies and review it is quite assinine

That's why I always wait and read reviews AFTER I've seen something. Mr. Movie Critic, your opinion of a film is no more or less valid than mine. It's your OPINION. I remember Lisa Scwarzbaum from Entertainment Weekly giving Matrix a shitty review because of WHAT THEY WERE WEARING. Seriously, bitch?

Mr. Bean is awesome.
Mr. Bean's Holiday is far better than the recycled shit that was Bean a decade ago.
Even so, I was shocked that it was the #1 new movie last weekend - I figured it would have bombed here in the U.S.
