James Dean vs Steve McQueen

So a few weeks ago, the Missus and I were at Costco, where they always have freaking cheap DVD boxed sets around this time of year. There were two that caught my eye for $16.99, one with all three of James Dean's movies in double-disc format, and one with a bunch of Steve McQueen's movies (minus The Great Escape and The Magnificent Seven, both of which I have--but it did have the 2-disc version of Bullitt).
Now, I've never seen any of these. And I've always wanted to. That price screamed "cheaper than rentals!" (Okay, close to the same on the Dean set, but definitely way cheaper on the McQueen.) I hammered into my wife's skull that I'd kill for both of them, and, sure enough, I got them yesterday morning! (I also got the complete Benny Hill, which about made me shit my pants. We'd agreed on no big gifts, and she goes and gets me something like that? Cripes. I hope she sees I Am America (And So Can You) as equivalent.)
So, I plan to, over the next few weeks, see which of these badasses is the most badass. Now, I know Dean has the reputation, and the guy died in a car wreck that screams "BALLS!!!" (if you've ever seen the stretch of road, and heard how fast he was going, there's no other explanation). And I'm willing to give the Rebel Without a Cause a chance. But, man, it's going to be fucking hard to beat the motherfucker was so badass in Magnificent Seven that vyn unknowingly stole his name from him, and Sheryl Crow wrote a popular song about how badass he was.
I'll post updates herein as I go through the mass of movies. (Unlike some of you, I'm not a "seven movie per day" sort of guy, so it will be at least a few weeks.) Any input is welcome.
