'Hello, Ohio!' (Psst! Boss, we're in Michigan)

The curse of Friday the 13th struck Bruce Springsteen in a most unusual way: it made the 60-year-old rock legend forget where he was.

The Boss bellowed "Hello, Ohio!" to his fans at the Auburn Hills Palace in Michigan.

Springsteen referred to the neighboring state several times in the following 30 minutes until E Street Band guitarist Steve Van Zandt whispered in his ear.

A visibly embarrassed Springsteen grinned and said such a mistake was "every front man's nightmare."

The Detroit Free Press says Springsteen rocked the forgiving audience for nearly three hours Friday night with new and old hits including a complete performance of his album "Born to Run."

After he said Ohio, I wonder if the crowd actually booed him or if they were just saying "Bruuuuuuce!"

I was at the next show on the tour, which was last night in Milwaukee, and some of the die hards brought signs saying "Welcome to Ohio" and The Boss played off it nicely.

Early in the show, he said "Hello, Ohio!....Nah, I'm just fuckin' with ya" (that's what he said, I'm not making a joke here). It got a huge response out of the crowd, as did the 3 hour show he did which was absolutely incredible.

That was my 4th time seeing him live and somehow, he keeps getting better every time. Last night was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
