I'm not sure if I had started this topic already and just couldn't find it, but whatever.
Over the years, Professor Charles Xavier has exhibited actions that don't square with the teachings he has instilled in his students. He repeatedly makes morally objectionable choices based on the fact that he is telepathic and a self appointed "leader" of mutants. As I go back and re-read many older issues of X-Men and other I'll bring up more specific instances that support my theory, but for know I'll just throw out a few random ones that I've read in recent weeks.
In Thunderbolts 144 this week, Luke Cage is in a meeting with the Warden of the Raft Facility (the super villain prison) choosing which villains are candidates for the program. They are discussing Cain Marko, the Juggernaut, pros and cons, and out of nowhere Chuck's gigantic bald telepathic head is suddenly floating above everyone with the word balloon "if I may add my thought to this process. please consider usng my half-brother for this. I will take full resonsibility." and then winks back out. WHAT THE FUCK?! Nobody called Charlie to ask his opinion. He just fuckin' showed up! Which means he was fuckin' eavesdropping on the entire conversation uninvited. Something he does ALL THE TIME, and without regret, even though he makes comments to the contrary quite frequently. In addition to that, I like how he distances himself from Marko by pointedly referring to him as his half brother. If he was genuinely concerned in a fraternal way, he would just be his brother. But no, he has to constantly remind everyone they had different dads. Douche.
In Uncanny X-Men 375 from 1999 ol' Chuckie pulls another card he's famous for, he subtlely begins mind-fucking with all the X-Men and turning them against each other, separating them into two camps, those Pro-Xavier, and those Anti-Xavier. As the story progresses, the X-Men all end up killing each other causing unexplicable mental truama to each team member as it occurs (because either they're killing their own teammates or being the ones that survived and feeling the sorrow of seeing their teammates killed.) Finally everyones snaps out of it and discovers it was just a big mindfuck that Xavier perpetuated. His reason? The team had been infiltrated and Xavier was trying to figure out who the traitor was. So who did it end up being? NONE OF THEM. But then the kicker is, Xavier says something to the effect of "As I suspected all along. Everyone come down to the morgue where I've had Beast and Dr. Reyes performing an autopsy on Wolverine (who had "died" in the previous issue)." It turns out Wolvie was a skrull. And Xavier "suspected" it all along, but rather than wait the two hours for Beast to perform the fucking autopsy he decided to put his team through the mental anguish of killing each other "just to make sure." Douche.
What else has he done over the years? Well, he faked his own death when the X-men first started just to "teach" his students the lesson of how they would have to deal with his death eventually. Thats like me "faking" comitting suicide so my kids will learn about death. What the holy hell?! Not fucking right in the head AT ALL douche.
He had a "crush" on his underage student Jean for many years. Wow. Creeeeeepy douche.
Along with fellow Marvel douches, Reed Richards, Tony Stark, etc he decided to "police" the rest of the Marvel Universe "for their own good" in the Illuminati. Meddling of these elitist pricks resulted in World War Hulk and Secret Invasion amongst other crises that caused countless deaths and property damage around the world. Elitist hypocritical douche.
He was ONSLAUGHT. How the fuck he isn't serving a life sentence for that shit is beyond me. Sure, he tried to pin it on Magneto's "evil" influence, but honestly that just sounds like the shit an alcoholic says, blaming the booze and not being accountable for when he drives his pickup into a family of four's sedan and kills them all.
Did you know XAVIER was the guy that erased all of Wolvies memories all those years ago? Sure, It was at Logan's request. But then go back and realize how insincere he was everytime he told Logan "look, we'll get to the bottom of this and help you find your memories. I promise." Lying douche.
There are many many many more examples of him "accidentally" overhearing his students "private thoughts" and then interjecting. Happens all the time. I just don't have specific examples in front of me right now.
So yeah, Profesor X is a douchey doucherocket.
Professor X is a Douchemayor.

Re: Professor X is a Douchemayor.
He's not that bad.
Aside from the faking his death thing, everything you mentioned takes place in the alternate universe that is the current 616 (or, should I say, 666?) universe.
But if you wanted more fodder, the way he's fucked around (literally) with Lilandra over the years would be a good reason. Not to mention sending a student, presumably a minor like the others, into such deep cover in a satanic mutant sex club that even her should-be fellow classmates had no clue she wasn't a bad guy.
You know what's really douchey? Chris Claremont. He did such a goddamned good job with the Hellfire Club, no one realizes it's based on this really fucked-up club from real-life 18th century England, so no one else can ever do anything that incorporates the real Hellfire Club without being accused of ripping off the X-Men.
