Why'd they never...?

Stuff that seems like it should've happened at some point, being total no-brainer stuff. I'm thinking mostly stuff that simply couldn't happen now for various reasons, but not necessarily.

Venom as Spider-Man: He has the powers, he has the costume. Why did Venom never ditch the grin and go red-and-blue for some reason? Maybe he could've been discrediting Spider-Man. Maybe (during his tenure as an anti-hero and the Big Two's fascination with replacing characters) he could've filled in when Spidey was injured or thought to be dead. The current Ock-as-Peter thing seems like a pale imitation of this ridiculously obvious idea that, far as I know, never happened.

The Superman Corps: We have Superman, obviously (who, at one point, was split in two). We have Superboy. We have Steel. We have Supergirl (in pre-DCnU, two of them, in fact, if you count the Matrix). We have Power Girl. We had the Eradicator. There's also Bizarro, who's not really evil. Depending on whether he exists this week, we sometimes have Krypto. Why did these Kryptonians and Superman-inspired heroes never team up in an organized fashion? They all get along pretty well, with some minor beefs with Eradictor being just that--minor. Such a team meeting on the Watchtower makes more sense than a team with Green Arrow and Batman. And organizing to fight greater evils seems like something Supes would've thought of at some point.

Jubilee's resurrection: The obvious reason is "Chuck Austen is a moron and no one wanted to touch his shit when he was done." But this bugged the shit out of me, particularly when Austen had multiple (shitty) religion-based stories going on at once, at the same time this subplot was. A hero who is named after a Biblical festival of rejuvenation (even if it's pretty obvious that wasn't Claremont's intent) is killed by being crucified by wacky religious nuts. Then she's brought back from the dead. How? By getting a blood infusion from a dude named fucking Archangel. Jesus Christ, if the guy wasn't so hung up on going on about Warren fucking Husk every couple of panels, the amount of religious symbolism he--totally unintentionally, I'm sure--heaped onto this one minor character, with no follow-up, boggles my mind.
