I really wish people would stop referring to Chris Pratt as the "star" of Zero Dark Thirty when referencing his acting accolades now that he's been cast as Peter Quill.
He shows up 2 1/2 hours into a 3 hour movie and has about five minutes of screen time total and about 4 lines of dialogue. That's not "star", that's one step above "extra". It's not even a glorified cameo. If they had cast Bob Downey in his role in ZDT, THAT'S a cameo. This is just a schlub being cast in a minor role in a film with hundreds of speaking parts. Quit makin it more than it is.

The Guardians of the Galaxy are Yondu, Martinex, Charlie-27, Starlord, and Vance Astro.
NOT goddamn talking raccoons and talking trees.

Regardless of what Chris Pratt is in Zero Dark Thirty, he's hilarious on Parks and Rec and was good in The Five-Year Engagement. I don't know anything about Guardians of the Galaxy other than there's those aforementioned talking things but with Chris Pratt as the lead it should be entertaining.

The villain in the movie is...The Collector?? The super scary Andy Griffith looking guy that runs around in a tattered old brown bathrobe? That's your villain?? And they've signed Benecio DelToro up for multiple films, so you'll be fighting The Collector...again?!?
But Lee Pace is playing Ronan the Accuser. So that's cool.

Brown bath robe? He must be a Jedi.
Is The Collector related to Uatu the Watcher that was here for a brief time before he faded into obsecuirty like so many other characters around here? One of them have to be responsible for the outrageous number of views on the old "BM" thread.

Saw the movie poster last week.
The "You're Welcome" at the bottom made me want to high five everybody nearby at that moment. Friends. Strangers. Didn't matter. So pumped for this movie.

also, he's the star of The LEGO Movie, don't know why they're not riding on those coattails...

Trailer #2.
Holy fucking shit.
This is either going to be spectacular or absolutely wretched. We're talking "blow Avengers out of the water" or "you'd rather watch Ghost Rider while being skinned alive."

From what we've seen, I agree. I just hope this isn't one of those cases where trailers make a turd look epic.

i think the difference between those you're worried it will be like and what it looks like it will be is that it's not taking itself too seriously.

Very cool. They posted the pic on FB earlier, but without a track listing.
I don't even have to double check any of the tracks; I've already got everything on that soundtrack. And some multiple copies.
