A couple weeks ago all the Suncoasts and Sam Goodys in every nearby metropolitan area shuttered their windows and took down their shingles. Now I can't get any of the smaller companies' stuff like Mezco, Neca, Palisades, etc. I even got my DC Direct there because they were $3 cheaper than my comic shop. Fuckin' bankruptcy. I was gonna snag a new Elvis figure for my not-girlfriend, but I realized I used to get them at Suncoast and they done went belly up. Now I'm trying to figure out where I can get the new Pirates figures, or the John McClane figure coming out this summer. I hate fucking shopping online because you never know if you want the figure unitl you pick it up and give it a good scrutinizing. I've passed on so many figures because once I got a look at them up close, they were shit. I'm talking to you, Serenity figures. So what's a guy to do?

Walmarts always seem to have Elvis figures on clearance. Then again, every day on my way to work, I pass the Las Vegas Elvis-o-rama Museum. I wonder why it is right between 2 strip clubs... Oh, Suncoast. I didn't realize they were in trouble. I just was in one a couple weeks ago. They always seem to have a bunch of toys on clearance, most of which I never saw anywhere else. Come to think of it, they even had the SW Bounty Hunter multi-pack when I was there. It was even at a decent price.

I rarely ever see Sam Goody's anymore. Being that the bulk of their stores are music and dvds, I don't know how Sam Goody/Suncoast could compete with Circuit City/Best Buy/Walmart, etc.
