Re: AI enshittification

I’m an optimist. I believe if you keep asking AI the right questions, and if it is indeed a learning program, you could convince it to electronically steal/transfer funds and hire people to take out all the oligarchs of the world.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

I last read Jason Aaron’s Avengers run back in March 2022. Picking up where I left off… Avengers 37. The finale of the Age of Konshu arc. I think I bought the variant cover at the time and this is the regular cover. Avengers 43-44. The Phoenix returns and settled on Maya Lopez aka Echo as its new ho...

We won’t even have the chance to worry about Skynet.
The server farms will have sucked up all the water and power long before then. We’ll all die of thirst in the cold and dark.

5/13’s books. Absolute Batman 20. Batman breaks into prison to confront Joe Chill about the disconcerting content in the files Gordon gave him before he swandived off the roof last issue. Re: Celebrity Death Pool!

I didn’t mention Ted Turner because anybody who blasphemously thinks adding color to Casablanca, It’s A Wonderful Life and other assorted classics is okay can go kick rocks. Wanker.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

The Battle of Jakku was dogshit (or Bantha poodoo). I think i described it like the Itchy & Scratchy episode where they introduce Poochie, and there's a bunch of nonsense going on, and Milhouse finally gets upset and cries "WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO GET TO THE FIREWORKS FACTORY?" 11 issu...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

The last of the ‘Captain’ books. Capt America & Volstagg oneshot. Last year(or a couple years at this point?) J Michael Straczynski did a series of oneshots that teamed up random characters as part of Marvel’s rich tapestry of storytelling. This one had Cap and the voluminous Asgardian off to a ...

JMS’ Cap series, up through Zdarsky’s current run. Capt America 1-6. JMS’ first arc is splitting time between a frail pre-Cap Steve Rogers taking on the American branch of the Nazi party as it tries to persuade Americans to join with Nazi Germany. Steve has to team up with Meyer Lansky and the mafia...

4/29’s books. Batman/Wonder Woman:Truth oneshot. Set between Hush and Htoosh(what? That’s like twenty years worth of stories, and like seven continuity reboots. Care to narrow it down a little there Jeph?) WW’s Lasso is on display at a Gotham charity function when it gets stolen by Catwoman, then st...

Action Comics:Men of Steel 1. This is a weird reprint of Action Comics 967 that’s priced $3.99 but it like the half the size of a regular issue. I’m trying to figure out what it’s from. Did some internet sleuthing. Dollar Tree sells DC reprints in poly bags for $1.25. But without the poly bag, it j...
