Secret Avengers 19
Wolverine & the X-Men 2 (yes, I recall saying I was not buying X-Men any longer - my comic shop guy however did not recall this & pulled it for me so I bought it)
FF 600
Thor 8
Cap & Bucky 624
Quicksilver Scarlet Witch 1

So with FF 600, is this book renumbered or split into 2 concurrently running FF books?

Split into two ongoings. Until FF gets canned when Hickman leaves.

Anyhoo, I got 12 books this week.

Daredevil 6. Daredevil gets "the Omega Drive", a hard drive made from unstable molecules from Mr. Fantastic's discarded costume that holds billions of Gigs of secret information from ALL the major crime organizations in the Marvel U including AIM, Hydra, Secret Empire, etc. And they want it back.

FF 12. The kids escape the brouhaha over in FF 600 and head to Latveria where the evil Reed is up to shamanic and with his captive Dr. Doom and Grandpa Nathaniel Richards. You thought you had to be paying attention when Hickman was writing only ONE FF book?

Game of Thrones 3. The art is still mediocre. Brandon sees some stuff he shouldn't, and Daenerys gets naked on her wedding night.

Ghost Rider 6. Alejandra meets a bunch of killers trapped in a swamp by an old Cajun witch. And then kills them.

Cobra 7. The first story arc comes to a conclusion as Firewall, Chameleon, and Lady Jaye confront double agent Steeler in the motor pool. Many of these people get shot and stabbed. Some of them to death.

Herc 10. Final Issue. I picked this up to round out my 12. The art was awful and the story was Meh. I can see why it got canned.

History of the Marvel Universe oneshot. A Saga style issue that commemorates 50 years of Marvel by cramming the highlights of the last 50 years of Marvel Continuity into one issue.

Red Skull Incarnate 5. Johann completes his journey to the Führer's side and begins a new one into the depths of dickbaggery.

Thunderbolts 166. The 'evil' Tbolts travel even further back I'm time and Mr. Hyde becomes The Jack the Ripper. Stupid.

Wolverine 19. The end of funnest Wolvie arc in years. Logan, Gorilla Man, ad Fat Cobra shut down Jade Claw's center of the earth opium business. Then go drinking at Harry's Bar is Westchester.

Uncanny X-Men 546 2. The X-Men fight Mr. Sinister as the Celestials draw closer.

X-Men Legacy 259. Part of ReGenesis. Rogue can't decide between Team Logan and Team Cyclops as the rest of her team chooses sides. Also, Ariel is back. Oh thank goodness! Let's bring back the D-list teleporter but leave Kurt dead.

Not to get too nitpicky, but is the time-travel Jack the Ripper at least historically accurate? As dumb as it sounds anyway, I always hate when they go for history, but history that's been tainted by pop culture, and fuck it up.

The dates and victims are accurate. What annoys me is giving the credit to a C-list villain in a D-list circulation title in a story arc that will ultimately be forgotten and having it be "Marvel Canon." I know it sounds weird, but it's doing a disservice to the real Ripper.

I got 12 books this week. I only had 6 on my list, so I played a little fast as loose with the other 6. For the most part I wasn't disappointed. Here's what I got.
Amazing Spidey 675. Spidey and his ex GF Carlie team up and beat the Vulture. Carlie goes and talks with MJ about Pete's secret life.

Avenging Spidey 2. Spidey and Red Hulk try and rescue J.Jonah from subterranea. Red Hulk gets gutted with a super sword.

Avengers Origins: Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver oneshot. Better than the Vision oneshot.

Avengers Origins: Thor oneshot. Yet another 'Tale of Asgard' where Thor learns humility. This is like the fiftieth or hundredth version of this story.

Defenders 1. A weak premise gets a weak reboot from Fraction.

GIJoe 8. A new Cobra Commander is chosen. It's Krake. Who was a enigma when this story started. So really, it's just a new mystery person in the mask. Another great issue.

Punisher 6. Frank finds himself in a standoff with the woman whose family was massacred in issue 1. Are we looking at Frank's new protege?

TMNT Raphael Micro-Series 1. Raph fights a mutant White Fox sent to infiltrate the Turtles' lair by Shredder.

Transformers 31. Epilogue to Chaos. In the far, far, FAR future, Alpha Trion and Ironhide reminisce with some future Transformer youngsters about the good old days. FINAL ISSUE.

Villains For Hire 1. Purple Man's team of operatives, get ambushed by a different set of villains, who are being controlled by Misty Knight.

X-Club 1. The X Science Team, led by everybody's favorite asshole, Dr. Nemesis deal with some emergency.

X-Factor 228. Madrox is dead. The team beats up the guy that did it.

That's why I Spoilered it, because I know you won't find out until you read the TPB. And I know you're the only person besides me reading Joe. (Shame on the rest of you)

Last week(s):

A Game of Thrones #3 - Daenerys gets naked. If they are following the book rather than the tv series, she's 14 (IIRC).

Daredevil #6 - I still don't know if I like this new series or not.

Kick-Ass 2 #5 - What a fucking downer of a series this has turned out to be. If there's a Kick-Ass 3, no thanks.

Batman: The Dark Knight #3 - Not bad, with the exception of stealing a beat from Arkham City.

Avenging Spider-Man #1 - My first post-marriage Spider-man book. The only redeeming quality was the art. The rest sucked ass.

This week:

Detective Comics #4 - Haven't read it yet.

IZombie #20 - Haven't read it yet.

Punisher #6 - At the end I had flashbacks to white Darth Vader.

The Boys #61 - Vought-American slowly put their plan into motion. A team very similar to "Wetworks" looks to kick the shit out of The Boys.

Jennifer Blood #7 - Had I known Ennis was done, I'd have left this sitting on the shelf.

I think I need to have a section in one of my boxes for "One and done" comics, like Wolverine and the X-Men #1, Avenging Spider-Man #1 and Jennifer Blood #7 and so on.

You know what comic I bought this week? It was some stupid old rag that was important because that fag Superman was in it. I don't remember the name of it, but I only bought it because it was Nicolas Cage's at one point. So I took it over to his place and rang the doorbell and then when he came out I ran the comic through a paper shredder and then dropped trou and shit in the shreddings. Then I lit the whole pile on fire and screamed "Bad Lietenant: Port of New Orleans was a shitty film! So was Bangkok Dangerous! Haw haw! You're a shitty actor Nic Cage! Look what I did to your precious funny book, asshole!"
Then I swung by Patricia Arquette's place and fucked her in the mouth. She was having some people over, so that was awkward. But I didn't care.
GOD! That is so STUPID!! You are WRONG!!

Eternal Padawan is DEAD!! Fuck yeah!

Sure was nice of the fucktard who writes "The Buy Pile" at CBR to say he's not spoiling the identity of the new CC, then make clear it's not two characters.

Well, that still leaves 7 more possibilities.
Except....two of the candidates died during the story.
But that still leaves 5 possibilities.
Except....two of those weren't really candidates at all.
But that still leaves THREE possibilities.
Except....oh. I see what the 'Buy Pile' guy did.

That asshole.

I agree with Diaballs for once - Avenging spidey #1 was not good. Not like I'm not going to buy #2 or anything - as this almost looks like a Marvel Team-Up to me - but Amazing is far better. Try it DB, trust us.

Cobra Civil War Vol. 1 came in the mail today.

Curiously, the same book came in the mail a few days ago. No packing slip the first time (which didn't strike me as odd, as Amazon's been leaving them out rather frequently), but there was with this one. I've meticulously double-checked, and I didn't mistakenly order it twice, nor was I double-charged for it. They've no tracking info on the first shipment (and I can't check the post office, as I chucked the first envelope).

So I'm guessing I just got a free copy of a book. Haven't decided what to do with it. Truth is, I might tell Amazon anyway and see if they want it back, since I don't have much use for it and don't know anyone who would want it.

Throw it up on eBay at twice the cover price with the words "RARE HTF!!!! VOL. 1!! MAKES A GREAT X-MAS GIFT!!!" in the title and see if some dumbass bites.
