So I was streaming random thrash metal the other day, and a particular good song I'd never heard came on, and I looked to see who recorded it.
The name of the band was "Sacred Reich." I've heard of them before, but the name was an instant "fuck no." Now I was torn, since they sounded good, but the name sounded like literal Nazis. So I looked them up, and they're about as not-Nazi as you can imagine.
But, fuck, that name. I guess it's not really anything different from Stormtroopers of Death (S.O.D.) and their Speak English or Die! album... which I had no issue with, knowing in advance it was an Anthrax side project and Anthrax is super duper not-Nazi and love clowning.
I guess the last decade or so has probably killed off the ironically super offensive band name for all time.
