What have you watched lately?

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

I concur. I watched about an hour of "Remember the Titans" last night, before I realized I had seen it before. Not my favorite.

Watched Beerfest on HBO yesterday. It wasn't better than Super Troopers, but it wasn't that bad. There was so much drinking in the movie, it made me have to get up to take a leak in the middle.

I finally say X3 last night and loved it. I need you nerds to help me out, though: Is the movie based on a story arc at all? It all seemed so familiar for some reason. Further, was Jean "Dark Phoenix" or just regular flavor?

it's loosely based on the dark phoenix saga, though they changed the nature of that character immensely. chux should be able t help you out more on the other storylines it culls from.

Besides "Dark Phoenix" it pulls a lot from Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men and it has a bit of "Days of Future Past" in the Danger Room.

I rewatched X-Men 3 a few weeks ago and I still like it (but it still pales to X-Men 2). The first 15 minutes of 3 are really, really strong.

I saw Superbad, and it was fuckin' hilarious. I have a feeling that everyone here would enjoy it - a shit-ton of dick/sex jokes with copious swearing. Awesome.

I praised the hell out of it on the other site. Definitely the funniest movie of the year.

Superbad was the teen sex comedy that had the audacity to show ZERO boobie.

I also saw Bourne Ultimatum which has one of the TOP TEN best fight scenes of all time in it.
