Re: LEGO!
When I finally get a decent amount of disposable income (in the several thousands range. lol) I'd LOVE to buy all of these modular sets. I've always been intrigued by them.

Re: LEGO!
^ i like that guy's stuff a lot, fun little builds.
meanwhile, i got on the Vic Viper (Gradius) bandwagon:
Happy NNoVVember, everyone!
The X/T-501 "Sand Viper" is an experimental space superiority figther used by the Andromedan Liberation Front. While the full capabilities are unknown, it is most commonly armed with twin pulse laser cannons as well as a pair of dark energy missiles.
LEGO Digital Designer File.

and, of course "the shot":

Re: LEGO!
Series 12 of the CMF will apparently be happening next October after the Lego movie series, The Simpson's series and the Minifigures MMORPG series.
I have never read any of your posts, but from what I can learn I should say that for people who like the kind of posts you deliver, they are just the kind of posts such people like.

Re: LEGO!
The Lego Movie sets have been popping up around here. My wife also found the new mini-figure wave. She bought 6, which ended up being the panda, Shakespeare, Abe Lincoln, the mermaid, and 2 Larry the Barista.

Re: LEGO!
I'm thinking that come tax time I'm gonna finally break down and get a few of the modular sets. I really want the Parisian Restaurant and the Pet Shop but I'm also thinking of getting a third. With this much being spent I'm wanting to know if LEGO puts out in advance when they do the double/triple VIP points promotions.

Re: LEGO!
There's a revival of the Arctic sub-theme later this year. Command base, mobile operations vehicle, skyhook helicopter, small chopper type helicopter, Husky dog team pulled sled, new polar bear and Husky molds. Predominantly orange color scheme with accents of blue and grey.
I'll be snapping this up for 'The thing' MOC's.
The Agents theme is apparently back too. haven't seen any pics yet but it seems likely just four or five sets. It's all 2nd half of the year stuff. Hopefully it's not got the silly villains of the last two waves.
The Lego Movie is only a month away now. The sets aren't available here yet and to be honest i think the minifigures are the main attraction in those. 'Blacktron fan' being a particular favorite of mine. I may even pay for a movie ticket to see this. It's going to need multiple viewings though as the action moves so fast in places things will be missed. Everything is awesome!

Re: LEGO!
Managed to snafoo some The Lego Movie CMF's.
No8 - William Shakespeare
No9 - Gail The Construction Worker
No12 - Taco Tuesday Guy
No13 - “Where are my pants?” Guy
No15 - Panda Guy
Looking for Larry the barista, Mrs. Scratchen-Post and Hard hat Emmet next.
I aint buying none of the sets. Besides the minifigures there's nothing really special about them. So I'll go to Bricklink for the minifigs.
One of the trailers states that the movie has something like 174 unique characters. If you factor in all the ones from old themes and past CMF series you could probabably muster about 100 via Bricklink and Ebay. I could be really anal and list them all but... I won't.
I think with the enthusiasm the movie has generated there's bound to be a second wave of sets. Stuff like the Batwing and Batmobile will be wanted for sure. Unless DC has nixed that.
Dunno if you've read the character bio's for the CMF's but they're quite cynical. The one for 'Where are my pants?' guy takes a pop at mainstream light entertainment tv. Something about it sapping the creativity from the Bricksburg population.
No doubt it'll be completely lost on all the dweebs who post on Lego forums saying "I don't get it. It's all just a load of random bricks thrown together" That you creativity stunted morans is the absolutely joyous, unswerving point of the whole fucking movie. If you can't see it, please for the love of humanity stop buying Lego and get off the internet. Go crawl into a swamp somewhere and join the rest of the pond life that failed to evolve.

Re: LEGO!
I won a contest at work and 1st price was a $50 Incentive Visa GiftCard. So I pulled the trigger and put it towards the Modular Town Hall. It should get here Friday.
With the double VIP points I'll be able to get the Theatre relatively soon.

I bought the Town Hall and the Emporium a few months back. Definitely some fun builds and I can't wait to get more of these. I wish I had been able to take advantage of the double points for these but I was able to do it for several sets for the niece and nephews' birthdays.Tom Foolery wrote:I won a contest at work and 1st price was a $50 Incentive Visa GiftCard.
