Curiously, #3 is the only issue of Omega Men I own.

Re: Big score........
He doesn’t resemble what we think of as ‘Lobo’ in that at all. I was trying to find a list of his appearances in chronological order to see if the transformation was gradual, or if Giffen just took a little used c-lister and abruptly reinvented him. Like, was Lobo a popular character, or did Giffen just make him popular?
EDIT. He wallowed for for a few years as a forgettable villain before Giffen reimagined him in Justice League International as a bounty hunter in 1988. He then became a regular fixture in L.E.G.I.O.N. before getting his own books. He was meant as an indictment of The Punisher, but that backfired because fans loved his absurd excessism.

I don't have most of the appearances in between, but Giffen did originally create Lobo. Not sure if what he became was always in Giffen's mind or what, though.

While looking at issues I’m missing on cbrealm, I’ll occasionally click on the ebay link to see if the prices cbrealm has listed jives with what the books are actually selling for. I’m missing three issues from the Nu52 Justice League run. 30 and 31 are the first appearance of Jessica Cruz as the newest Green Lantern, and 40 is the first appearance of Grail, Darkseid’s daughter. I found an ebay guy offering 30 and 31 for $15 together so I bought them. Which just leaves issue 40 for a complete run of that series.
I also found a full run of Far Sector, the GL series featuring Jo Mullein. All 12 issues for $36, which is basically cover price. They haven’t arrived yet though.

Re: Big score........
Maybe. But I knew they more expensive books. I paid more than I normally would for them, just not what they’re ‘worth’. I feel like a lot of recent DC books get pumped up by speculators when the character’s “impact” in the comics doesn’t warrant/justify the value increase of the book. Like, what has Punchline done that make her first appearances worth more? Same with Grail. I didn’t even know she existed until I was looking at why 40 is more expensive.Diabolical wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 8:03 pmsounds like a couple of hidden gems.Tom Foolery wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 7:51 pm I’m missing three issues from the Nu52 Justice League run. 30 and 31 are the first appearance of Jessica Cruz as the newest Green Lantern, and 40 is the first appearance of Grail, Darkseid’s daughter.
