A paraglider and his dog were rescued on Saturday evening after spending five hours in a treetop in the Don Valley, east of Melbourne, in Australia.
The glider crashed into bushland after the wind suddenly dropped, but the paraglider managed to ring for help on his mobile phone.
The pilot and his pet Chihuahua then had a cold and uncomfortable wait, until rescuers arrived.
"We were fortunate he'd rung a friend and given us some details of his location," said senior police sergeant Phillip McCracken. "And after a while the police helicopter was able to successfully locate him."
Bruce Flornbi, 42, only suffered minor scratches, while his dog, who was strapped to his crotch, was unharmed.
